At no point was McNeil going to be on the first depth chart.

Never said he was going to be on the depth chart. My surprise is that Xavier was listed ahead of him, based on what we’d been hearing from camp.
Well, Xavier is on the depth chart. So for McNeil to be ahead of him might have also landed him on the chart.
This was completely predictable. Not that McNeil won't turn into a good player. But his recent hype has been a classic case of the media and fans doing what they do.
McNeil has a lot of developing to do. But the good news is he has looked good so far, and is part of deep RB room.

Oh I get it. I expect a bunch of people not even on the depth chart to play this week. You also missed the fact that I was joking that our offense has been missing now for years.
Been a long time since I heard our WR group playing time as super fluid and knowing there is talent there. That is a really good sign
Worthless? So you're saying that fans shouldn't expect that most if not all of the players listed as starters will start this week? I think you're probably wrong, but we'll see.
Hearing so much about most positions but what about LB. Iowas always been so strong in the middle of the d but will this year be more of a strong front and backend?
If given the choice, I'd rather have a great DL and avg LBs than the other way around. I think back to 2005 when Hodge and Greenway were seniors, but the DL was young and green. I think KF has even said as much in the past.
Wr room goes about 8-9 deep with legit b10 receivers...finally get to see some talent there!
Last year the WRs where thinking too much because it was a new offense. This year they are much more comfortable, which is great to hear.
From reports, it appears that Gronowski is really good at calling protection so that he can then hit the receiver/TE (who, again, know the route to run based on what Mark calls)
It will be interesting to see how it all looks for the first 2 games.

Interesting dynamic. I'm guessing KF will be fine with trying for big plays as long as they still move the chains.
So, will I. Really tired of countless 3 and outs. Time of possession and field position will help this new defense find it's footing.
Of course, if the offense scores in 2 plays I probably won't mind either!
