I only noticed this because I'm waiting to see if Luke Elkin makes the Bears, but who's Iowa's long snapper this year?

Walk-on Ike Speltz returns and was here in the spring and then Boston College transfer Bryant Worrell arrived this summer, so those two have been competing. LeVar has said they could possibly split duties if Speltz is better on punt team and Worrell is better on FG team.

X isn't coming off. Probably Lutmer at Cash and Entringer stays at SS.

Very surprised RVZ isn't a starter. Still wondering what's going on with left tackle, seems like it's still a competition.

But relatively fast. Most DBs aren't that tall

Interesting that Jack Dotzler (for now) won the LT position; Trevor Lauck and Bryce George should provide plenty (and very good) back up.

Vander Zee is gonna be making a lot of plays; I expect Wetjen to be making a lot of plays, too, after returning the punts.

TJ Hall, Deshaun Lee and Jaylen Watson are the top 3 CBs, according to KF. It will be interesting to see how they perform over the next 2 games. Big plays hurt us last year; will that trend continue?

Our starting LBs are "old" and know the system. Will that be enough this season?
