Iowa -14.5
O/U 41.5

The CyClowns (1-0) bring a new look squad to Iowa City with a new coach and a lot of transfers. The young Hawkeyes (1-0) look to revenge last years awful performance.

Kinnick should be absolutely bonkers tonight with perfect weather. Everything on paper and the early eye test seems to say Hawkeyes should win easily. Not so fast!

This game will be closer than some expected fueled by several Iowa turnovers but the hawks pull away late to win 27-13.

HUGE GAME!!!!
Yes it is huge. Got to get the monkey off the back of those last second fgs and letting ISU stay in the game. The hawks should be on a 4-5 game win streak against these clowns but they cant keep from getting in their own way. Need to play a clean game rather than having a Cade and Grono pick etc etc., dont be stupid and have a key penalty like Wetjen on the opening kickoff. Stuff like that just juices up the clowns.

Iowa has been favored by a touchdown or more against ISU eight times in the Ferentz era. They’re 2-6 against the spread in those matchups and have managed to lose outright three times - 2005, 2007 and 2014.

I see ISU winning 23-21 on a walk off 60 yard FG, and Clone fans rubbing our noses in this until the end of time. Their defense (especially Terrell) will give Brown fits and our defense will get torched by at least 1 long bomb. This ISU team is much better than being given credit for. They will be going all out with nothing to lose.

I hope to God I’m wrong. I just have a bad, bad feeling. Kirk struggles way too much in this game. I am sick and tired of losing to those chumps.

Jormungandr indicated he will hold off Ragnarok long enough for us to dispose of STATE.

In addition, Heimdal sees a Johnson County win over Story County.

I understand your trepidation, but not this year. I think UI beats EIEIO by at least 17, and probably more.

ISU has the better QB, defensive line, and kicker.
Iowa has the better offensive line, running backs, and tight ends.
Everything else seems fairly even.

I think it will come down to whether ISU’s defensive line is better than Iowa’s offensive line, or vice-versa. Whoever wins that battle will probably win the game.

The Clone’s d-line is talented and deep. They can rotate fresh players with little to no drop in talent. They just might have the better overall defense.

if everybody is being honest... Iowa State owns the state of Iowa.. winning 3 of the last 4 in football and 4 of the last 5 in basketball.

it's a hard truth.
If everyone is going to be honest it's not a hard truth...it's some serious cherry pickin...enjoy the game today if you want to see a hard truth

Well, this sucks. My back has started hurting today. No way I can possibly do 4 hour round trip in the car and sit thru the game without ending up in severe pain and being incapacitated for over a week.

I guess that means the Hawks win tonight, since I won’t be there.

Not sure it's possible to make a judgement about either defensive line based on the opponents last week.
