I wasn't especially impressed with PSU in its win over Illinois. Had the Illini not committed 5 TOs, it would have been a different game. If Iowa takes care of the ball, it should have a chance in Happy Valley, although it would help if McNamara gets it together. I'm not sure playing an injured QB, even one as talented and experienced as Cade is, gives Iowa the best chance to win. Maybe Hill and Labas should be used for a few series as change of pace and to run plays that Cade can't. Or maybe Cade will step up on Saturday night and play the way most of us thought he would. But the injury clearly was still bothering him yesterday.
BTW: For once, KF let his backups play football and even score late. That's what Hayden always did, and it's absolutely the right thing to do. Too bad it took KF more than two decades to figure that out.
