This series is no more but Iowa continues getting forced to play the clones.
Yes and No. Being on NBC/CBS/ABC isn't the flex it used to be.If Iowa vs Iowa State was meaningless it would not be on broadcast national tv this year
The IU-ND was supposed to play a 2 game set starting 2030. Other than the playoff game, these two teams hadn't played since 1991, and only 27 games total in both schools history. This series is no more but Iowa continues getting forced to play the clones.
The Eastern Mich vs Wisconsin one is the biggest head scratcherYes and No. Being on NBC/CBS/ABC isn't the flex it used to be.
NBC is also broadcasting
Western Michigan @ Michigan
San Jose St @ USC
Rice (yes, Rice) @ Notre Dame
Southern Illinois @ Illinois
Western Kentucky @ Indiana
Eastern Michigan @ Wisconsin
to name a few...
anecdotally?Anecdotally, Notre Dame was the last team to beat Indiana I believe.
ND and NBC still have TV contract, so replace Rice with Sisters of the Poor and it would still be on the slateYes and No. Being on NBC/CBS/ABC isn't the flex it used to be.

Would anybody be able to tell the difference?ND and NBC still have TV contract, so replace Rice with Sisters of the Poor and it would still be on the slate
Little side note rant about ND. They probably will get in after last year and crying about it. but if you look at their schedule they play 2 tough games (Miami & BYU) and 3rd against smu pretty tough. If they have 2 losses no way they deserve to get it. Schedule is a joke. Yet they whine and complain about conf teams like usc not bending over to fit them into their schedule full of conf games.ND and NBC still have TV contract, so replace Rice with Sisters of the Poor and it would still be on the slate
and KF deserves a lot of the blame for allowing this to become such a meaningful gameIf Iowa vs Iowa State was meaningless it would not be on broadcast national tv this year
Do NOT like their sense of entitlement!Little side note rant about ND. Got NO need for STATE. Would like to see them go to the MVC or better yet, the GLVC.and KF deserves a lot of the blame for allowing this to become such a meaningful game
While I don't totally disagree with your point....Yes and No. Being on NBC/CBS/ABC isn't the flex it used to be.

Or may be the legislature and former Gov Robert Ray. Read the history of the early series and it's revival.and KF deserves a lot of the blame for allowing this to become such a meaningful game
