This kid really gets it. I hope his attitude pays off for him this year. I KNOW it will as his life unfolds.
Impressive Lance Ware tweet.

Agreed. Impressive attitude and move up a ton on my list
Real talk. Can we install this mindset into all our guys?
Love to hear stuff like that. Positive and mature.
Not everybody gets the glory. Glad to hear his head is on straight. Good kid.
I already loved Lance more than most but this makes me love him even more! By the time he’s a senior, watch out! I think he’s gonna be a heck of a “college” player for us down the road.
He makes more $$ here then he would anywhere else
That article is gold. Tucker said his jaw was on the floor when Lance said this to him.
What an amazing young man. We are so lucky to have him. He is going to be a huge success in life no matter what he does.

That’s the response of a mature young man.
Keep working Lance all athletes time comes to an end sometime!!
And here I thought being born 1988 and below was the cutoff for such man talk. Good for you.
Lance isn’t the best player, he’s not the most athletic, but it’s dudes like him that are the difference between good teams and championship teams.
The attitude. The toughness. The work ethic. You need to have (and keep) the Lance Wares of the world on your team.
I’ll also add this as a bonus: Not many programs around the country have a guy like Lance as their 3rd string post player. A true luxury in every way.

Just ship us the hard “ware”..I ♥ UK.
Thats's just beautiful. I've always liked Lance and you can see it in his game now that he's accepted his role and comes in with guns blazing now. He knows his limitations but it aint gonna be playing timid. The kid has talent and belongs at this program with the abilities he has, just has some guys at another level in front of him. Gotta root like hell for a guy like that and damn glad he's on our side.
Lance exemplifies what I want for the culture of UK basketball.
“Ware” can I find a place to “ware” people out with my “ware” can we pick up our hard “ware”
^ the ultimate KWilt post. I even out did HH
“Ware” can I pick up my hard “ware” for being a”ware” of “ware” KWilt is making us all cringe?
Lance seems like a hell of a teammate. The type of guy you need on your side when things get tough. The more he matures and sticks around the more valuable he becomes. He has really improved his game to be honest.
And this is a kid who catches a lot of grief from some dildos on this board.
He wants to be here. He doesn’t mind being a role player. Allegedly, these same dildos want players like Ware.
I love the kid. Everyone on a team isn’t a star, but still can contribute to the team’s success.

C’mon man if your alluding to money being the only reason he stuck.

That type of role player/clean-up mentality (from this post and his play in the Bahamas) would be the last piece. Having someone come off the bench with fire for the 2nd unit that can rally the team, is huge.
Ware might bring more intangibles to the game this year than actual stats. Can't under sell a guy like that in the locker room.

It's been awhile since we've had a kid with an attitude like he is showing. He may just be what we need to win it all if that transfers to other players and he gives all he has in the times he sees the floor. Like others said, a whole new respect for Ware. I'm going to be pulling hard for this kid all season!
That’s awesome! I love Ware and I love how he plays. He does have a role and he does it well.
He’s the “enforcer” that all great teams seem to have
This all sounds admirable, but this is no longer rec league basketball. For our own selfish reasons, of course we want him to continue hanging around. However, this should be about mutual benefits for both the team and the player. Considering the amount of money associated with college and NBA basketball, he needs to be considering his long term future. Ware isn't going to get better riding the pine. He can only get better by having a real chance to implement what's learned in practice in games. If he was the type of player who is lucky to be on a team, it wouldn't matter where he played and getting to travel around with a blue blood program would make sense. However, Ware obviously has skills or he would never have been a top 40 player. Sometimes it is a simple matter of finding a program that fits a player's skill set.
Yeah? Why would he leave if he’s making 6 figures? Nice chunk of change then go play overseas. Retire and live on a boat
WINNER. Every coach cherishes players like Ware. There's more to basketball than playing, locker rooms and relationships within the team are also ultra important.
Ware understands he’s not league bound. Nothing wrong with that and not an insult. Lance Ware will never be one of the best 500 best players in the world. There’s probably 1000 delusional D1 players right now who think they’re going to the league. Nice to have a player who understands his role and understands reality.
"Old School" attitude that is refreshing to see in a kid today. He just became my favorite player!!! This kid deserves everything he gets in life even beyond basketball!! Make him the team Captain RIGHT NOW!!!
So glad he's a Wildcat!!
So glad he's a Wildcat!!
The guy gets it! Unselfish! You need guys like that in order to have a cohesive team
Wow, refreshing to see a young kid have an old school mentality. Impressive!!
