Impeach Trump? Trump has a 2% higher ( 44% vs. 42%) approval rating than Obama had at the same time point in their Presidencies.
What's amazing, the economy is 50% better so that number reflects how many people truly do dislike him. It should be 10 points higher.

What we have doesn't work in many states. You will never have perfect districts but you see what happens when partisan politics are in play.

If he was a good and decent human being, his popularity would be off the charts. He had the opportunity to accomplish comprehensive health care, immigration, trade, tax reform that could have solidified him as a great president. So far tax cuts and hard-line immigration stances to date. No real reforms of any kind. The opportunities were there.

Comprehensive health care? Please. He's working on Trade to our advantage, did tax reform, immigration is on hold for now until after the election. If the dems take the house, there will be no immigration reform.

It's a dangerous platform to run on - win and impeach and remove - because if it doesn't happen then it will get ugly.

If it happens they'll get Pence and really sh*t on themselves.

Exactly. In my district, the incumbant is a lazy Trump sycophant who hasn't done crap. Her challenger is embracing all sorts of local programs to improve local businesses.

Translation: Her challenger is embracing all sorts of Big Government to interfere with local businesses and probably demanding that they pay for it or else!

I don't see much happening because I don't think the party is energized enough right now. Although the upset in Mass last night gives me hope that grass roots efforts can get the minorities and the students to the polls.
They’re primarying in candidates who shouldn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of being elected. The left is going batshit left.

Can't disagree with that. I find myself falling more and more to the right but I hate Trump and McConnell so much that I just can't vote for that side until there is an indication they will compromise. I have zero in common with the progressive left.

All we did was compromise for 30 years, it pushed us left. It’s time for the left to compromise, which they’ve been unwilling to do.

Nobody has "caved". Stop falling for the propaganda. Imports are now at an all time high.
Yeah, I guess Mexico hasn't and Europe hasn't agreed to take more soy beans. You liberals are just amazing. Somebody knows what they are doing where business is concerned just dwarfs the community disorganizer/marxist previously there. Want to bet? Imports are fine, as long as we can export without getting the **** kicked out of us by the corresponding country.

You don't compromise with anti americans. That's what the left has been doing for decades. As you have drifted further to the left, compromise means the right acquieses to what you on the left wants. All it has done is cause more problems. Take a knee.

They agreed to continue discussing it. Why did the federal government just give my tax dollars to soybean farmers if everything was so peachy? Why are our imports at record highs while exports are shrinking? What new trade treaties have been ratified? This caving should be easy to point to.

Come on. That just isn't accurate.
Yes it is and you know it.

OK, you are correct as far as treaties go. I feel a lot better with a person who likes the US negotiating than somebody who hates it. I will also say that Trump is the only President that I can remember, I voted for Nixon in 72, that has made it a priority to really try and do something about the inequity that has been trade. You can poo poo all you want, at least he is trying and there are rumblings that he knows what he's doing.

He gets points for trying, even though it is idiotic? I don't get that. Bush and Obama hated negotiating.....and yet both negotiated FTAs and our trade was freer at the end of each of their tenures? Don't be blinded by the ridiculous trade deficits that are misleading as hell.

You are confused about what I believe in. I believe that what we levy and what other countries levy should be basically the same. I don't care about the trade deficit as much as I care about the inequitable tariffs that are levied against our people to protect the socialist in other countries. IP is another problem and that needs to be addressed. If canada wants to do trade here, then let our farmers compete the same. FT has never been free, it doesn't have to be, but it shouldn't be 2% vs 25%. If you think that is fair, then Alabama should just go ahead and play Auburn and the rest of their games against non power 5 schools.

I don't think it's idiotic to ask your friends to trade equally. I guess you like buying your friends? My friends buy me drinks, I buy them drinks. Of course, I buy the cheap stuff![winking][cheers]

Nope and that's the wrong way to think about it. I'll go buy myself the same quality of booze for cheaper than my friends.

Dude, the world is not static. Compromise means you settle on an acceptable point for most. Social norms moved since day one. In fact they move both ways. We obviously moved too far left socially for many and therefore we get Trump. Economies move. Industry comes and goes. Are economy is now a service economy. Nothing is static.

Sometimes you write stuff that leaves me shaking my head. Right now it is all about winning and beating the other side. It hasn't always been that way.

Let it play out, we will be better off. I guess you haven't noticed how our economy is better and unemployment is better. Maybe you and the rest of the socialist are just wrong.

They were better under Obama as well. Maybe it's not as simple as just agreeing to the letter beside a name?

There doesn't need to be a guilty verdict for impeachment. The impeachment rules are vague. It's a political thing and not a true legal things. My guess is it will be for obstruction and the campaign finance violations. That's my 2 cents, dollface.

The first step, impeachment, is a formal accusation by a simple majority of the House of Representatives. This vote leaves the accused in office, while he is "tried" by the Senate. A two-thirds majority there results in removal from office.
