Is there a better place to be than this board right now? The amount of posts and views are astounding, I think we peaked in the Waters years with posters and commentary and then slid down every year...plus twitter, facebook and all other kinds of stuff sort of took away attention from here but I think now this board is the place to be to talk and learn about RU basketball again. Just glanced at TOS and really not very much going on there. Its only going to get wilder from here

People make fun, but given Rutgers' absolutely massive alumni base the "sleeping giant" is very, very real. You can see it any time we have any modicum of success. Sustained success will bring attention at the highest levels.

Not sure I can root for Michigan tonight. I still care about where we finish in conference standings in case we struggle down the stretch and I don't want Michigan to catch us.

One excellent result for tonight

VCU the 3rd projected A10 school suffered a crushing Quad 4 loss at home to George Mason. They were my last team in the field but this loss boots them out and its going to be tough for them to get back in

also Xavier lost to Butler. They have that win over SHU and still in the field but they are in the 10/11 spots

Alabama loses to Auburn in Ot....Bama's chances remain extremely slim

Florida over Texas AM to avoid a slip up

Oklahoma won big on the road at Iowa State.

Houston survives at South Florida.

Richmond took care of La Salle and may have replaced VCU in the field

St Johns took care of Providence. I think its safe to say we have turned the lights out officially on the Friars' chances

Lafayette lost to Army
Pitt loses to Clemson...so no good there
SHU loses to Creighton, definitely not good
SF Austin and Niagara win so thats good

while not a direct impact, Ga Tech upsets Louisville so that will drop the ACC profile a bit

Bryant loses again..remember peeps here tried to say they were good...no

NJIT loses to Lipscomb

Drexel loses to Bill and Mary

so 0-3 our non conference opponents continue to flounder

Wichita State routed UCF so they are staying in the field

Cincy went to OT to beat Memphis....probably all but ends any hope Memphis has who will need to run the table the rest of the year. Cincy meanwhile may have played themselves back into the field for now

Indiana up on Iowa so this going to be a quality win that was much needed

Key game to watch is Washington up early on USC

In that easily the biggest bubble game of the night. ASU with a massive road win at Stanford. Winners of 4 in a row are now in the field. PAC 12 now could have a 6th team in the tourney.

Don't think they're getting 6. They might not even get 5. Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, and Arizona St are the only 4 in at this point.

11 is looking more and more likely for the Big Ten; one of Minnesota/Indiana + the other obvious 10.

I think USC is probably in and with Stanford’s loss one of the first four out.

I still have Stanford in for now. They probably are on the 11 line now. Wins over Oregon and Oklahoma but they are desperate need of wins. Lost 6 of 7, they are playing their way out.

Utah lost to Oregon State and i think they are done for. From the nether regions i suppose at 15-9;and a sweep of Oregon and a couple of other quality conference wins, Oregon State has arrived on the bubble

Oregon State is in the "tiny sliver of hope group" along with schools like South Carolina, St John's, Texas, Syracuse

I would say better than that...2 wins over Oregon, wins over Arizona and Colorado..4 quad 1 wins, 2 of them on the road. Their big negative is 3 Q3 losses but they have better wins than most currently projected out

Next 5-6 games for Oregon State offers potential for a chance...

Hosting Colorado, at Arizona, at ASU, at Oregon, hosting Stanford & Cal.

Must have all 3 home games and a win at Arizona or Oregon would be ideal. At 15-9, they'd be 19-11 in the Pac 12.....not likely going to be enough unless they made Pac 12 tournament final.

Damn I love this time of year, and doubly so now that RU is in the mix. Many reasons to keep tabs on the entire college hoops landscape, and I’ll be that much more tuned in to the eventual March Madness bracket teams. Fun times.

Ole Miss giving Kentucky a game at Rupp. Would be a huge win.

Kentucky is like a 5 seed..its not great of win. Ole Miss is 83 in the net. They have a win over Penn St and Fla but 5-7 sec even with the win...non conference sos of 225

More of a concern would be Gtown beating Butler. Its tied midway through the 2nd

#5 Louisville lost by 15 at 13-12 Clemson today. Stuff like that happens. What you don't see often is at one point Louisville was shooting 6-38 or 16%.
