There are 129 college football teams total in FBS. There are 25 major team statistical categories. Somehow, someway, the lolIllini are racked below 100 in SIXTEEN of them. In five of those sixteen, they are ranked in the bottom 10 in the country---total offense (125th), rushing offense (121st), team passing efficiency (124th), scoring offense (124th), and first downs offense (126th).
To put these stats in their proper perspective, Nebby's rushing defense (the one where the blackshirts appear to be attempting to avoid contact with everyone who rushes the ball) is not even in the bottom 10 in the country. So being in the bottom-10 is clown-like bad.
To their credit, they are in the top-30 in ONE statistical category, red zone offense (T-30th in the few times they actually reach the red zone). Rutgers has managed not to be in the top-30 in any, but they are only below 100 in nine categories
Just absolutely dreadful. And those stats figure to decline even further after playing us tomorrow, since, we are in the top-30 in eight categories.
