You think it is fair to send us to Albany?
Louisville in Chicago seems reasonable, but Oregon in Portland and UConn in Albany will be home games for both.
Ill take UConn or Oregon anywhere over Baylor or Louisville ...UCONN is soft and Oregon would have to play a perfect game to beat MSU ....throw in that Vic now has a zone in the arsenal.... and I see Baylor and Louisville as the only teams that can beat MSU

Notre Dame ?
I'll bet AEH is dying to go to Albany as the #1 seed, and stick it to Geno. Although she's very happy where she is. Seems to be a good kid, too. She took tons of time yesterday with my kid, after the game. Seemed genuine. Zion was, as well.

Yes, without a doubtI hate to play the what if game, but what if we had kept McCowan in the lane on defense in the Oregon game? Would we be the #1 overall seed?
Because the top teams are pretty close together this year and because the women's tournament leans heavily on geography, being a 1-seed vs. being a 2-seed isn't as important as getting a good geographic matchup. I'd rather be a 2-seed paired with Baylor in Greensboro than be a 1-seed paired with UConn in Albany.
I'm fine with using geography on Selection Sunday to try to encourage fans to travel. Our fans traveled well to the Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight the last two years, but there were a lot of empty seats. The locals just don't support it enough to fill those arenas, so they have to rely on fan bases to travel.
But what I don't like is selecting the regional sites based on prominent programs' geography. Assuming UConn goes to Albany this year, they will have played their regional in Albany or Bridgeport each of the last five years. UConn is the only reason those cities would ever get a regional host five years in a row. They should do a better job distributing the city selection. After that, I'm fine with them trying to send UConn to a geographically favorable regional on Selection Sunday (assuming they're a top team). But they shouldn't set up UConn for such a huge advantage years in advance and five years in a row. That would be like Memphis or Birmingham getting a regional host five years in a row just so the committee can send us there five years a row. I would admit that is an unfair advantage. Award a team at the end of the regular season, not years before they've played a single game.
They're the home team even as a 2 seed, so the 1 seed loses that advantage completely. It's crap. If ticket sales weren't a major factor, they should make sure UConn played anywhere but Albany as a 2 seed.
