To get away from debating for a while, I have a question about the RU pep band that people have sometimes mentioned as having a double standard regarding masks... Since I can't attend games to see for myself, do any of the band members use bell covers on their instruments to help decrease the risk of covid transmission somewhat? I'm asking because some bands do.

I noticed that you're laughing bac, but they do reduce the risk of virus transmission some, especially droplet transmission, which is one of the reasons that some musicians and bands choose to use them at times.

And aren't you the guy who's always complaining that air coming out of the ends of the band's instruments will transmit the virus to everyone in the athletic center?

I liked your post before you added that last bit.

In 50 lifetimes, I'll never understand that mentality. Afraid of possible effects of a vaccine but not of a new novel virus that's proven to have longterm effects in some.
It's not fear of a vaccine. The knuckleheads think they're making some kind of political statement.
Maybe they'll take the virus seriously when the U.S. gets to the one million mark in Covid deaths.

Nope, it isn't!

yes it is and that is why you are seeing what you are seeing this week play out. Most of us knew this already, it took the elites and zoomers getting covid with their boosties for them to finally realize it

But you just said it wasn't. Which is it?

You keep talking about "elites and zoomers," but don't you basically not work all winter, then work outside without a mask? So basically less mask restrictions than "zoomers"? Yet, still you complain and try to create a fake, transparent "us vs them" that doesn't even apply to you?

Would you like to compare scientific credentials? Didn't think so. Did you not read all of the predictions I made which came true regarding COVID, especially with regard to their impact on RU sports, where I've been right on everything? I'm sure you didn't, because you wouldn't make such a dumb post otherwise.
Unfortunately you’re a far lefty and as such your politics bleeds into your “analysis” . It’s like they say one drop of poison spoils the well with politics being the poison & science the well

Hilarious that anyone would claim that RU848789 is a far lefty.
That could only be claimed by some reactionary knucklehead with no knowledge of the left.
As one who knows many far lefties and is in fact one himself....for over 50 years....RU848789 is no far lefty.
You should really try posting only about things that you actually know something about.

Numb3rs backs up his well-considered analysis with links to scientific papers. You attack the person. Come with some science and people might listen to you.
