I actually enjoy watching them play. I’m getting older now and a loss doesn’t impact my emotions like it used too. It’s been a screwed up year so nothing phases me this year. 2021 hopefully is a reset.

This cannot be real. Certainly not from a UK fan.

If it is, it’s the dumbest thing I have read on here. And that’s saying A LOT!!

I’d love the team more if I knew they were getting experience for next year. But we all know after this year over half the team will be gone to the nba, transfers, and possibly graduation if (99% sure they don’t come back) Mintz and Starr decide to not take advantage of their extra year.

rinse and repeat

They’re respectful toward one another and to the staff, and they are very athletic. They need time to grow as a team, learn defense, and I’m with them to the end!
And where does scoring points come in?

Too much talent to not get it right. Tighten up the turnovers and get the pg spot comfortable. Looking like a team that will be underseeded that no one wants to play.

Where is the talent? Is it real or is it just what people thought and are not proving to be wrong about?

I don’t see the talent on this team.

Cal ran out of the presser because he can't handle being questioned about his awful team. That's weak and unacceptable. Mintz, who is probably, 21 or 22, took questions like a man.
Cal is acting like a rich spolied brat.
I didn't see the presser but that was mentioned multiple times on twitter.

It certainly didn't go unnoticed

Are some of you serious with this garbage trash? No disrespect to you Kerry, but what the hell?

You do not know if they're respectful and what does "to the staff" even mean?

They are here to play college basketball on a full ride for UK. Nobody hates them, but they suck. They need to get in the gym and start buying in or they'll be seen as utter failures and no amount of morality speeches is going to change that.

If some of you aren't careful, we're going to become Indiana.

Has to be one of the most head scratching post of all time.

the talent is Boston, Clarke and Jackson. Pg play needs to improve and cal needs to figure out the offensive sets. It’s one thing to practice against each other but you really can’t hammer out lineups without playing other squads.

I don't even know what to say about that post. Cal has hypnotized part of the fanbase.

UK fans see the holes. They also know it's been 4 games. They know the last few years are different. Keeping an open-mind and giving this group a chance to go from a group of individuals to a cohesive unit doesn't mean people are happy. It means that we are giving them the opportunity to grow like everywhere else. People are so sick of the OAD, but when the normal struggles happen it's the sky is falling. That makes absolutely no effing sense.

Lets don't forget about the lifetime contract,Cal isn't going anywhere at least by the hands of the powers to be.So the posts about firing Cal ain't gonna happen. But these unexplainable lackluster losses to these horseshit teams are hard to take any more

So the team that Mercer and Georgia State beat just trucked UK and you think this team is just going thru growing pains? Come on.
Cal is saying the schedule is too tough. UK used to be the nightmare on someone's schedule, now the winningest team in CBB history is unable to play Richmond and Georgia Tech? Gimme a break.

Yes, they are going through growing pains. They arrived on campus as 8 individual players and just played in their 4th game. How can they be going through anything but growing pains. Another guy missed 2 years basucally. The one guy from the system is hurt. Not saying he is a savior, but he'd at least have experience. It can't get much more "growing pained" than that.

So all of these uber talented players are not good enough to beat a team that hadn't won a game yet? A team that lost to Mercer and Georgia State.
These guys that will likely be in the NBA next year, can't beat a winless team like Georgia Tech.
You really are all in the Cal kool aid huh?

Did they just lose? I thought they lost. So the answer is, NO, right now they are not good enough to beat a team that lost to Mercer and Georgia State. Growing pains. Should UK ever have growing pains like this? No. I never debated they should. I am saying that since these guys are having these "growing pains" they should be give a chance to work through them like they would if they were at any other school besides a Kentucky or a Duke.

IDK wtf you are talking about "kool aid". Im just trying to exude patience and optimism. Sorry you don't ahve that right now. This is Kentucky and shouldnt be losing to the Evansville's of the world. It's unacceptable. I am still going to defend the players until my last breath.

You're not defending them, you're defending Cal. Cal is not UK. Not even close. UK was before him and will be after him.
You can'tr separate Cal from UK. His "system" created this problem. His ego will keep it going. Sarr, Mints, and Toppin are not new to college basketball.
1-3 in a shortened season. Games are all up in the air and you act as if these were exhibition games were they are working out the kinks. I got news for you. This ain't gonna be their last loss.
Cal got lucky that Sarr and Toppin were cleared to play. Imagine this team if that doesn't happen. No depth. No inside presence.
You need to wake and see what is really going on. This is not how UK became UK. I was blinded for a while too. Not anymore.

Of course Im defending Cal in the instance of the "interview" tonight. I'd be embarrassed if I was getting on here saying this was a bad look for Cal. If I was making an issue out of this non-issue. There have been a lot of bad looks for Cal recently, but this is so not one of them. It's a nonsensical point. One that Im done with. We can agree to disagree.

Cal's system did create this. These aren't "exhibition" games. They are however learning experiences for the most inexperienced team I think I've ever seen in the Power 5. 8 new players. 1 player who hasn't seen much of the court in the past 2 years. Not sure what this being their last loss has to do with anything. We've had teams that have had many losses still go on to a successful season. Sarr and Toppin are playing though. I don't want to imagine they aren't playing. The first 4 games have been painful enough. Im very awake. You can keep spinning your fables about me though. I've always been one to give credit where it's due and to hold someone's feet to the fire when its needed. This season there are so many doing that so I don't need on this board because you all have it covered in spades.

His behavior in the interview is just a side bar for me. It's just hilarious how you twisted yourself into a pretzel trying to defend him.
A 6 min post game presser with 3 questions is a joke and you know it, you just can't bring yourself to criticize your hero. You've drank the kool aid become a Cal disciple.
Lousy basketball is one thing, but be a man and face the press. Be an expample to your team and your players. Mintz did.
He left because he has no answers. He built this debacle, now he wants everyone to look the other way while it crumbles. Fans like you enable him.
Your defense of him with that feeble bus ride excuse is laughable.

I'm 29 and I couldn't even muster a "cmon" today. Just accepted that we were getting our *** beat.

When that happens you know something has went wrong.
