I have a guy coming Monday morning but I think I know what he's going to say.
No matter what he says, he's obligated to fix your problem (if he can). If you don't want a new system, you don't have to get a new system.

Same thing my guy told me back in 2014. I can probably fix it, but it will costs you more to fix it than what it will cost you to buy a new one from me.
Takes more current to heat coils(60amp) than current to pump refrigerant thru cooling system(30amp)...The only way it can cool with the breaker trip is if the 60 amp breaker is backfeeding. I don't know for sure but are you sure the 30a is for cool and the 60a is heat, should require more power to cool than heat.
So is it a GFI or regular breaker? You either have a short in the heat pump (normally the motor) you have a problem with breaker
so are you saying the 60 amp is for the airhandler and the 30amp is the compressor.Takes more current to heat coils(60amp) than current to pump refrigerant thru cooling system(30amp)...
Am guessing your heat is an electric heater and heating coils require more power than a compressor.... good luck with a fix...so are you saying the 60 amp is for the airhandler and the 30amp is the compressor.
Awesome. Great news. I think that was on the six likely culprit things I had linked last week.So the verdict is: There was a short inside the motor housing of the fan motor.
I dodged a bullet this time gentlemen
I probably won't be so lucky next go round.
Awesome news. Huge weight off the ole walletSo the verdict is: There was a short inside the motor housing of the fan motor.

I know the feeling. My dryer quit. I am hoping a $30 heating element saves me 900 bucks.I can put my pimpin' hat away for the moment.
Would be cheaper for you to sell and buy a new place..Let's talk about my 21 year old dishwasher lol.
