The good news is that seems to suddenly be a strength. With the exception of Bell's early fumble, I believe we have a real nice trio running the ball.
To me, Bell is a throwback Husker runner like we had with Ahman Green or Leodis Flowers. Washington is dangerous and shifty, unpredictable and wild. Ozigbo to me was the most solid, even if his stats were not as great. I felt most confident when the ball was in his hands.
I can see all three continuing in this way for awhile, without one emerging as a clear favorite. Agree?
Washington needs to get the outside runs. He will hurt alot of cornerbacks draft stock as he makes them look slow. A year in the weight room will help him greatly. He is kind of lanky but has very good agility and is pretty good with his body lean. I thought Bell would've had a couple touchdowns on his runs with the blocking he received. Frost said he was fast. He's a a good back though, and I think the eel moniker is appropriate.
I loved watching Ozigbos strength in his runs. We all know he has very good hands. I can't wait to see him blow up a cornerback after catching a pass.
I don't know anything about Jones. The coaches must like him though.
Just my very poor take.
Please be healthy Adrian! Everytime he gets hit my wife and I will probably be holding our breath.
