Waiting out the rain to finish a project in the back yard...reading Husker a freaking baseball thread...which would be so much more fun if they didn't suck as bad as our other two mens sports. It's really unfathomable how far they've fallen...

wish we could have added a few more runs. I'm a little leery about our bullpen.
Couple of huge insurance runs make it 8-5. Would be nice to get at least one more.
Up next is a 3 game series at Purdue starting on Thursday evening followed by the B10 tournament.
With Illinois losing NU is N the Big 10 tourney no matter what happens at Purdue this week.
Good deal. Hope they get hot. Stinks that we have to have people lose to guarantee we're in. Take care of business and control your own destiny much more preferable
Current RPI is 109, so no matter where we finish in the regular season, we have to win the tournament. The tournament is interesting, in that the 4/5 first-round game isn't played until Wednesday, while 1/8, 2/7 and 3/6 are played Tuesday.
Whatever, we have to go at least 4-1 (or 4-0 or 5-1) between May 23-28, so save pitching to do that, Purdue series be damned.
Indiana (29 RPI) and Iowa (30), should make the NCAA Tournament unless they completely collapse and get swept this weekend and go two-and-que in the Big Ten Tournament.
Maryland (49) and Rutgers (50) are bubble teams.
Nebraska (109) and Michigan (123) have to win it all.
The other two teams in the Big Ten Tournament are TBA, but MSU (76) and Illinois (80) are ahead of us in the RPI, while Purdue (211) and Minnesota (218) are not.
Could be a two-bid league; could be a five-bid league. My guess is three. Baseball America currently has four teams making it: Indiana as a No. 2 in the Lexington, Kentucky subregional; Iowa as a No. 3 seed in Miami; Maryland No. 2 in Louisville; and Rutgers No. 3 at Duke. Rutgers listed as one of last four in.

10-5 over Purdont. Tied the team record for HR with 93. Purdont may decide to not play the last two games.
Also, how about Max Anderson? Can we appreciate this season?

Not true, Iowa lost to Northwestern today. If Nebraska wins and Iowa loses tomorrow, we could end up as the third seed. While slim, there is still a chance.
We used to have a good baseball team…..
