Who has said that?
“A lot of people are saying” is a very popular thing these days!
We'll find out tomorrow.Given our coaching staff's bizarre hatred for him, I bet we see an OR on the depth chart next weekend
Can we pull McCall for non-performance?he was pulled for non-performance (just like a young CT was with Zack Oliver) in one game
Who has?We'll find out tomorrow.
Not sure how you arrive at the conclusion the staff hate HJ, he was pulled for non-performance (just like a young CT was with Zack Oliver) in one game and got injured in a second. Hunter hasn't exactly lit up the scoreboard.

McCall doesn’t miss blocks, misread the defense, not get separation, jump offsides, block in the back or drop passes.
No, but those are things that are supposed to be coached. Is McCall not a coach? The lead coach of the offense?McCall doesn’t miss blocks, misread the defense, not get separation, jump offsides, block in the back or drop passes.

HOW IN THE WORLD DID WE EVER WIN THE WEST LAST YEAR WITH SUCH INCOMPETENCEexcuses, excuses, excuses, worse than my kids, these people who continually defend McCall with the nonsense that its always someone's else fault. Go look at our offensive statistics (which are getting worse every year) the last 5-6 years, ITS MORE THAN JUST THE PLAYERS. There is a common component beyond the players over the last 5-6 years.

And we beat them all!!! Is that not importantNU won their division because for the first time since the Big Ten went to divisional play, everyone else in their division had 4 or more losses.
And we beat them all!!! Is that not important
Huh. NU was undefeated in the West and 8-1 in the B1G. They could have had 1 loss and NU would have won the division. So that is called winning the division by 3 games.NU won their division because for the first time since the Big Ten went to divisional play, everyone else in their division had 4 or more losses.
Then surely since NU was that dominant they must have won the conference championship, because Ohio State only tied their division.Huh. NU was undefeated in the West and 8-1 in the B1G. They could have had 1 loss and NU would have won the division. So that is called winning the division by 3 games.
Let me guess: you flunked logic somewhere other than at NU.Then surely since NU was that dominant they must have won the conference championship, because Ohio State only tied their division.
Looks like we have another new guy that signs up pretending to 1) know what he is talking about or 2) comes from another fan base. Then surely since NU was that dominant they must have won the conference championship, because Ohio State only tied their division.
He’s not an NU guy. He’s a NW guy. Ersatz poster.Looks like we have another new guy that signs up pretending to 1) know what he is talking about or 2) comes from another fan base.
Where did anyone say NU was dominant. You aren’t bright for a NU guy. Just calling out a ridiculous post that somehow claims NU won the division because everyone else lost 4. Again, another team could have lost 1 game in the Big Ten and NU wins the West.
You have seen at least oneYeah. I’ve seen exactly zero people speculating on his status, let alone saying he’s out.
There was a plan in the first game to get both QBs playing time. In game three, it was likely to protect him in a lost game and give the backup a chance to get some snapsWe'll find out tomorrow.

Many of the problems have been on the OL and we are starting 3 new guys and an new OL system which they have had limited experience with. The guys we have now were recruited and trained by the old OL coach. Growing pains are not unexpected. One RB has been dinged and less effective and the backup, while he has shown signs of being effective as a runner, has missed a couple blocks that have hurt us. It is more of a group failBut he finds, develops and plays the guys that do. He also employs the guys that are supposed to teach the players to play.

This is completely nonsensical. If NU won every game 2-0 would you be happy with the offense? Wins and losses don’t begin to tell the story of the incompetence on offense for years and years. And some people still blame the players....HOW IN THE WORLD DID WE EVER WIN THE WEST LAST YEAR WITH SUCH INCOMPETENCE
Except NU's offense gave up 14 points, thus destroying your theory.Being a defensive guy I would take an undefeated season never giving up a point...like my defensive coach always said...if you don't give up any points you can't lose.
I suppose we could just take a knee on offense and hope our defense gets a turnover close enough to kick a field goal or a pick 6 or scoop and scoreExcept NU's offense gave up 14 points, thus destroying your theory.
You don't need to take a knee if you can make a play rather than turning the ball over (twice).I suppose we could just take a knee on offense and hope our defense gets a turnover close enough to kick a field goal or a pick 6 or scoop and score

What? How about holding the players accountable or is that too radical for you? After all, it's their team. Coaches don't play. Yes, ultimately the coaches are held accountable for wins and losses.
Did you ever blame your dive coach when you messed up and belly-flopped off the 10-meter board? I cannot recall any instance where a coach was responsible for my screw-ups. Any mistakes were entirely my own and not some coach's fault.
This is what it boils down to. The worst boss I ever had gave me one amazing kernel of wisdom. I had about 12 people on my team at the time, and he was talking to all of the senior leaders. words to the effect of "if our people do not meet their goals it is because we have failed them as leaders". Powerful, succinct, true. Now, you can decide if a person (player) is a non-performer and fire (bench) them, but if you put them 'in the game', you need to be sure they have the resources, training, guidance, coaching, understanding, and support to succeed.Sure, fire the players. But after year after year of terrible O, fire the guy that picks the players, the develops the players and that plans for the players in the games.
Players come and go. The O sucks and the coaches are the same.
