Classic case of playing up and playing down to the competition. The good teams shouldn’t let this happen but we’ve all seen it alot in the college game (Clemson just lost to unranked Syracuse).
It pains me to say this, but I’m waiting for the day when we surprise a highly ranked team!
Ohio State's offense has come a long way in integrating some new concepts with Kevin Wilson as OC since that loss. Plus Urban Meyer has been on those guys like stink on a K-State cheerleader since then.
It's sad that Iowa State is better than us. Their coach is only in Year 2.
We've lost 6 DBs to the NFL over the past two years. It finally caught up with us. We have a lot of good players back there, but they're young. They didn't know what to do, who to cover, etc. in week two.
It was the perfect storm for Mayfield who was seeking revenge from a year ago. Heck, everyone who has posted in this thread so far could've thrown for 350+ on us a month ago.
