There was extra 'pushing' well after the play on which Moulton went out. He was on the ground and the pushed his upper torso back and doubled him over. Not sure if that caused him to exit or the hit from the defender.
How could officials miss this ?

Hilarious that the pbp guys said that stuff is taught by the coaching staff...then realized what they said and "glazed" it back.
Good chance the NCAA modifies those types of plays.
But definitely portrays ISU as a dirty team.

One of the officials is 15 yards away. He prob made the TD call lol.

How could the officials miss putting 38 seconds back on the clock after reviewing a catch and overturning the call? Since we saw how the game ended and the Clones have a kicker who can hit from over 60, do you think that 38 seconds would have mattered? You folks cry about a missed facemask when the clock error was about as egregious as it gets considering.
Yes, B12 officials were awful but most of awful calls or missed penalties favored ISU.
You are crazy as they missed holds on the Iowa OL regularly. They probably didn’t get called because the defense played right through them.

I’d like to hear how they explain this “no call” to conference (Big 12) officials…….rather blatant missed call(s)….
What are thoughts on the dirty plays throughout the game? More dirty plays in one game than I’ve seen by KF and Campbell coached teams in their entire careers…

Yep, and now you know one of the differences in the conferences. The refs won’t protect a conference team like the B10 did in front of the nation in week one. Hard to tell from a screenshot. If the play clock just turned zero, they generally let this slide. Basically a ref has to see it turn zero and then start the process of throwing a flag. They don’t throw the flag the instant it goes to zero.
As for the fouls on the punt return, I guess I didn’t get as worked up over it. I suppose it would be some sort of holding penalty but I think I was more upset with James not getting away from the ball. What ISU should have done is put a couple of guys behind him so he couldn’t backpedal away from the ball and he would have been forced to try and pick it up while having defenders behind him and in front of him.
Now the smashing his face into the ground after taking him down should have easily been a penalty.

Yes this was BS and Kirk was livid. There was an obvious difference between the play clock and game clock.
Hilarious Kirk was questioning the ref about this who was saved by the Wave with Kirk stopping to participate in.

Even nbc guy Blackledge said missed hold on Vonnahmme end of first half would’ve put Iowa inside 15 and Diaz pi 4th qtr. speaking of playing through the hole quite the flail by isu defender on holding call to end the 3rd qtr by dotzler…. And not like isu didn’t get away with a blatant hold by the TE on their td. Refs were awful but you’re crazy if you think Isu didn’t benefit more from the non calls.

Exactly what happened. One coach has perspective in the heat of the moment and the other apparently teaches his kids how to play dirty.
It reminded me of instance after 9/11 Jim Leland when managing the tigers was arguing with umps. God bless America came on he stopped put his hat over his heart then continued to argue after the song was over and got ejected.

Jimmy Rogers is a punk who obviously coaches this type of thuggery. There were several replays not seeking to show fouls where Clown players are scraping across the Iowa player’s helmet and/or facemask, not enough to draw a facemask penalty but enough to yank the opponent’s head a bit. Total, complete garbage all in the name of gamesmanship. Also Clown defenders pulling down Iowa receivers by the shirt enough to prevent them from making the catch. Coached crap that should have been whistled but wasn’t.

No that isn't what I am saying. If you isolate on a player you will most likely see infractions on every play, if they called every infraction in the game it would last over 6 hours. Both teams were bringing it, and it made no difference in the outcome of the game.
