I was fairly impressed with the big guy from Wofford. They never really said much about him prior to the game but he was not intimidated and took it to us each time he touched the ball.
As I said............Houston would be favored by 3-4 points on a neutral court with Wofford.

Exactly. completely different type of style and play. plus they match up with us very well physically and athletically.
They're only up 8 at Halftime on 11 seed Ohio St...let's relax. They're not even close to being out of the woods in this game..not yet anyway. I think UK can beat them..especially with PJ.

I agree. If we do play them we are capable of beating them without PJ but that's probably the last game we could win without him. Herro and KJ will have to play better than they did yesterday.

I guess "dogshit" is way worse than regular "played like ****", much like a "double dog dare you"? In any case, I get your point and it fits well. Saw only a few minutes of the game but never really got the entire storyline.
Refs let Ohio St. play bully ball. Very ugly game, courtesy of Roger Ayers.
Also some blatant ref theft. For example, Iowa St. down one late...gets a steal that should lead to a runout to take the lead. Ayers blows the whistle. Calls a kick ball. It wasn’t.
Ohio St. gets the ball back. ISU gets called for a foul. OSU makes 2 free throws. Goes up 3 instead of trailing by one.
For the record, my model has Houston a little more than a point better than Wofford. They are pretty close.

Thanks, I was kind of worn out with basketball and didn't watch the game.
Only way Ohio St. could have won that game was to make it ugly, and that’s what they did.
I guess I'm over confident in this one then. I was concerned with Wofford's hot shooting from 3 but I think we beat Houston by 10 without PJ, 20 with him. I'm just not as impressed as some on here but I've only seen them play 3-4 games so I could certainly be missing something, just my opinion. This all depending on them beating ohio st that is
Wofford was better than us, until they weren't. And same will be said if we take down Houston. For some fans here, there's always someone better, the REAL test, as they'll say.
We beat a hot 7-seed with a top10 college basketball player sidelined, our Center getting his knee worked on for a chunk of the game, and we did by having THE most fantastic defensive performance we'll see all year, holding McGee to 0-12.
But we need to worry about Houston? Ooook.
Houston is small. They have athletic guards, play an unorthodox style on offense and hack and smack on defense.

Houston is a really good rebounding team, athletic. They are not, however, a better rebounding team than us or not as athletic as us. Unless we are ice cold again I don’t think Houston can hang with us.
Maybe some sticky Kansas City BBQ and not wash his hands before the game.

Every team has strengths and weaknesses. UK's weakness is guarding the 3. That makes Wofford a tougher opponent for UK or at the very least, as tough as Houston.
UK has beaten 2 teams that are very similar to Houston (Ole Miss and Auburn). Thrashed Auburn by 27. But they would never beat that Wofford team like that.
