With all the smoke and inuendos and flat out accusations coming out recently, does anybody believe Duke/Coach K will ever have to face the NCAA music ? That would be my ultimate dream but I just do not see it happening. Question. Why do the national media and talking heads fawn over Duke like they do?

This is a wizard of Westwood situation. We will know the truth in thirty years.
This will be a Wooden redux. I don’t know many dookie fans that think the guy is innocent of cheating and gaming the system. He spits on and bullies refs. Teaches his players to flop and kick then defends them when they do. We’ve seen his players stomp others on the ground. Elbow players in the mouth. Seen his players families live way beyond their means. The list goes on and on. If you don’t work for the Dook University or ESPN or are a fan of Dookie, then it’s pretty widely acknowledged that he’s a cheat. After he retires, ESPN will likely throw him under the bus pretty much the same way Wooden was outed, another widely acknowledged cheat like Dean Smith and Moon Pie.
I know this may sound absolutely crazy, but I think it’s worse that he teaches and coaches his players to cheat, moreso that the cheating he does to get the players.
I think it’s disgusting that he coaches his team to flop. It’s just nasty. And not holding them accountable in any way - disgusting. As long as they have an advantage.

What some people forget is he is cut from the same cloth as Knight. I think Bob was a great coach but coached playing nasty and cheap as well.

He chewed Brooks out at Oregon. Lied about it then fessed up when they caught it on tape!! But just last year Duke was up by about 20 one of their starters belly flopped and got a steal for a game ending dunk. K didn't chew him out!! Took up for Henderson when he busted Hansbourgh on purpose. Took up for the tripper ever time he tripped someone. I will guarantee you if one of our players starts tripping people Cal will call them out!!

There’s a difference between saying I don’t believe there’s been any wrongdoing as opposed to believing that Duke put the kids family in that house. You can’t hide something like that. Until someone actually has proof and it better be really good, no, I have to doubt that one of his now departed assistants was shady. But Duke and UNC seem to be untouchable for some reason.
