So sorry for your loss. I've been lucky and haven't had to deal with the loss of a parent. My father has heart trouble and i had a couple close calls with him two different times i thought i lost him in my arms. I felt helpless and completely lost both times. As painful as those brief moments were I was lucky he pulled thru so I can't put into words how you must feel, so again sorry for your loss.

It is a tough time when your parents leave, so sorry for your loss. The great thing is that they lived their life in a way that you are saddened to see them go. I will tell you that no situation will come up that you will not remember how they would have handled or what they would say to you so in a sense they are still with you. God Bless You in this time.

Thank you all for your prayers over the past two months. I really do appreciate them.

Ballgames will be a little harder now to be sure. But I’ll continue to support our young men. My grandmother bled blue. Mom bled blue. And so do I.

Love you Mom. I’ll miss you.

So sorry for your loss. My mother passed at a relatively young age of 59 a few days after the 2010 loss to West Virginia so I feel ya bro. Hang in there, it gets easier. Prayers!

Never has for me. My grandmother passed away shortly after that game as well. She was 63. A little piece of me died that day as well. Cried when we lost. Knew she wouldn’t ever get to see us win another title.

Sorry about your loss dude. I lost my dad when I was 25. He was 44 yrs old. All my grandparents have passed. My mom is all I have left and she is 57 now. Losing her or one of my kids is the only thing in life that scares me.

Sorry for your loss. I got my love for UK from my mom as well. My dad rarely watched a game but my mom rarely missed one. Losing a parent is hard and if you were close to them, no matter how long after their passing, your life is just different. I lost my mom and dad within a few months of each other and both were only 66 years young. Those were some of the toughest times of my life.

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. The best thing to remember when losing a loved one is knowing they're in a better place and they wouldn't wanna come back down here even if they had the chance.

I enjoy your commentary during games and on random threads alike, and it's certainly been missed with you not around as much (understandably). You reply to my game thread comments often and I enjoy conversing with you.

I buried my mom 3 years ago this May. She was only 55. Still think about her pretty much every day, but now it's almost always with a smile on my face--with exceptions some days of course when it's harder to smile. Those days aren't as common now, though. She loved UK basketball. Whenever the next championship comes about I know it will be emotional for me as she will be the first thing I think about.

I know times are tough, and I hope you reach a similar level of mental clarity with time. God bless you and your family.

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers.

Thai is going to be extremely hard. I took care of my Mom for nearly 11 years. We were extremely close. Mom told me that when I was born and I was given to her, we looked at each other like “old souls” that found each other.

I helped her go shopping, do crafts, cooked for her, and every night she and I played Jeopardy on our Alexa. And now that’s all gone. It’s just too quiet around here. She was as active as she could be with her disability. And even when she was in the hospital she would call and check on me. Ironically.

I’ve lost the closet and last parent and because I took care of her I feel waves of guilt. It’s why I didn’t become a doctor. I couldn’t take losing patients.

Just keep me in your prayers guys. I’m literally living minute to minute right now.
