Well, I may have missed it, but gotta give props to Jason Triplett's multiple incarnations over the years. I love everything he does, but White Trash Superman holds a special place.

For us it was Eli and Sidewinder.......and the Steve Azar Band (before he went country....think Billy Squier in the Rock Me Tonight video)

The Grumpies! Jason has some awesome stories. I worked with him and one of the Spivey boys one summer while I was in college.

Went to a birthday party a few weeks ago where Jupter Coytote played. Could still tear up a guitar.

How about ZOSO. Zeppelin cover band that was awesome. They werent on “the circuit” but played Starkville a few times.

I had forgotten about Hog Leg. Another good one.

Jupiter Coyote and Doublewide were more like 94’ but used to come to Mulligans and were great.

Beanland released 2 CD's. I had the first one but never got the 2nd one. Wish I still had it....if anybody knows we're I can find it or download it please let me know.

Got some great memories from Beanland shows 87 - 92. With JoJo on the keys they did a helluva version of Peace Frog.

FreeWorld would 17'in bring it too....loved their horn section and when they'd cover 70's Chicago.

The original album is on the iTunes store and amazon as a download, but I can't find the actual hard copy anywhere.

Law of Nature
Charlie Mars
Jupiter Coyote - “Crazy women” - play this for your wife. It’s her song. Trust me
There was a band out of oxford that played at flo’s A few times when i was still working there. Can’t remember the name but i have their cd still. They used to tip their waiter with pot. Haha. Me and my Red headed buddy used to argue over who got em. Lol.

Chapman also had another offshoot called Tater Junction. Hogleg was the best. Young Agent Jones stuck around for awhile but were never my favorite.

Not coming down on you or anything, because to each his own and all, but YAJ straight rocked.

Ok, I have heard of and actually know Cowboy Mouth and US. They are still playing.

But, the BIG news is Larry Rasberry and the Highsteppers will be playing April 27 at Duling Hall.

Thanks for all of the replies. It was law of nature that I could come up with but I have read many names that I had completely forgotten.

Read this and immediately cued up some JC on Spotify. Hadn’t heard them in so long. Great band. Hate that I never caught them in Starkville, it’s cool as **** that they used to be on the circuit though.

Farmers Soul. Interesting tidbit. 3 of those guys now make up 3/4 of Sam Holt Band with Sam Holt.

Ummm. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but how in the hell has Better Than Ezra not been mentioned yet. Also Taylor and that dude that did a great Dave Matthews voice. Can’t remember what they called themselves.
Nevermind I see the BTE mention early on.

I can't remember the name of the girl (Amanda maybe) that was in Law of Nature that passed away. She was in Molly Gish before joining LON. I loved her voice. I always thought she was a better singer than Jennifer. Their drummer worked for me at the Deli years ago.

Isn't Garrison Starr from Oxford?

Trent Dabbs (from Kelly Wingate, who wasn't a person but a band name) has made quite a career in Nashville. Has had alot of songs make it to Television. He and Ashley Monroe put together a nice tour around the country with some Nashville artists. He's played with Joy Williams and many others. Dude is uber talented.
