Everything you said is logical but it’s just not practical. We’ve been down that road before and it ends in guys like ryker fyfe and Ron Kellogg III starting important games. Due to risk of injury and risk of transfers, you can’t pass on taking a QB.To me I don’t know enough about kid to offer or not offer. What I do know is smothers sounds like a good prospect and mccaffery looked good in his limited opportunities. I don’t think it is absolutely paramount to hit on qb this cycle. That being said I would at least want to bring in body to compete. Kids sounds like at least a legitimate d1 prospect who is willing to work. With smothers ahead of him, he can focus on development.
