not really sure his IQ has anything to do with the fact that he's being a huge hypocrite.
Do you not agree that he's being a hypocrite, given his stance on gun control and the subject of his movies glorifying guns?
Yep, if you stopped enjoying artists for their opinions it would suck. Pretty sure 98% of this board disagrees with Zachary De La Rocha's extreme views, but Rage against the Machine made some great music.Seems to me that actors and directors and so forth should be judged on their talents and performances. Their personal opinions and political stances and so forth are not even an issue with me, but that's just me.

That was a Robert Rodriguez film; QT just acted in it.I seen hateful eight and I didn't like it. I really don't like many of his movies as they go overboard with violence and blood. About the only movie I liked of his was the one with vampires with clooney in it.
I've been waiting on this one for a couple of years. It is incredible. Anyone else see it yet?
I don't think ones alleged intelligence disqualifies them from being a hypocrite.
While objectively measuring his glorification of guns cannot be quantified, he certainly doesn't send the message that "guns are the devil," in his films.

I'm just saying, he's an intelligent guy. He's repeatedly said that he doesn't feel there is a correlation between depictions of gun violence, in movies or video games, and gun violence in real life.
Not saying I do or don't agree with him, I'm just saying I'm sure he's considered his statements and doesn't feel that he is.

I guess my question is, can you portray gun violence without moralizing against guns and their real life consequences in a movie for the sake of realism without "glorifying" them?
I though QT directed the first half.
think you missed the point.
I'll go on record as saying that I don't like Kill Bill either.
out of how big a gun control advocate Tarantino is, and then he goes out any makes these movies that glorify gun violence.
Do as I say, not as I do.

So was Hitler!!!We're all hypocrites in one way or another...truth told
to get in a debate and nitpick over the definition of a word because that is not the point of my statements. My point was that the man makes many films where he glorifies gun violence. He then goes out in public and vehemently denounces gun violence.
I understand he's not going around shooting up gas stations or committing mass murders in his free time.
To me, that is somewhat funny. To you, it's not.
