And The Oakland A's of the early seventies who won 3 WS in a
row. They all hated Reggie but they were too good to lose

I think they hated more people than just Reggie. Charles Finley was not a popular owner with his players -- or with anybody else. He had no feel for the Bay Area; the A's attendance was abysmal, even in the championship years and even at a time when the Bay Area had a more "normal" population than today. I can tell you I couldn't stand the A's announcers because they were so corny and because they were such homers. That's why I rooted for the Giants then, although I was closer to Oakland's stadium than to the Giants'. Sorry for going on and on.

I truly don’t think they know what they want to do yet. This year has been trying for sure. Nothing is for certain so they are treating the situation appropriately IMO.
Hey, can you tell me where you found your avatar picture? I’ve been looking for a clear version of that forever with no luck. I’m trying to get a vinyl sticker made of it

Pro baseball is a a game that is much more individualistic than college basketball. It certainly helps if guys like each other at the pro level, but as long as there is respect I think that's all that really matters.

I don't know who gets along or who doesn't on the basketball team, and that probably rears it's ugly head more in a season like this when they are isolated together with no one else, but I think there was clearly something going on. Seems like it was addressed in the players only meeting. Like each other or not, they all want to win. That's the common denominator that it looks like was agreed to.

I made a vector version of it because I was having the same issue. I’ll share it here when I get a chance

OP have a drink Enjoy the win. Your post is something I would expect from a middle school girl. Did you hear what she said ... 😬
Middle school girls have nothing on us here on these boards! We get sucked in to gossip overheard at Subway, the color of people's footwear, and all sorts of other interpretations!

That's ok. Nice to know there are people as old as I am on this
board. A quote from Catfish Hunter about Reggie -- 'There
isn't enough mustard in the world to cover that hot dog'
