For me it was Buffalo Chicken Crisps from HanselHappy for Ron! But why the heck did it take til after he leaves to manage his weight in just 5 weeks! Lol
Good luck hope he puts RU on the map at the professional level
I must admit, I thought the same thing. But I really hope he makes the most of this and gets an opportunity. Maybe just being able to focus on working out/training without any distractions has helped him. Rooting for him!Happy for Ron! But why the heck did it take til after he leaves to manage his weight in just 5 weeks! Lol

That's what I'm thinking too.I hear you guys with the "why didn't he work on his body while he was here?" stuff...but I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. This is literally all he has to do now. No class, no exams, no papers, no living in a dorm.
Every year he improved his body. Now he gets to work every day all day.Happy for Ron! But why the heck did it take til after he leaves to manage his weight in just 5 weeks! Lol

And how far off the rails can he go if he isn't ready or doesn't have a good support system in place? Can work both ways. And this is why the NBA draft is geared towards 18-19 year old freshman and sophomores.
The NBA and the players get all those extra years of development with no "college interference".
Sure the 18 year old isn't as good as the 23rd now.
But how good can that 18 year old be in 4 years with full time NBA dedication?
Eh idk about that. There’s practically no classes from may through august. That’s 4 months of straight basketball and training.Every year he improved his body. Now he gets to work every day all day.
I thought about saying fat sandwiches but the real grease trucks are gone now.Bitter sweet to see Ron getting his body right
The correct answer is fat sandwiches people come on did you even Rutgers?
Hansel crisps werethough too
Minor league baseball is a good data point. Most right out of school kids don't make it to the league. AAA may not be bad for some, but lower than that can be very challenging. The smart ones bank signing money for college and after baseball life. Others didn't have signing money and have to figure out what to do post baseball do struggle without a degree to fall back on.And how far off the rails can he go if he isn't ready or doesn't have a good support system in place? Too stupid of a comment to be taken half serious. Not joking. If Ron played Notre Dame at 247 instead of 260 do we win? Half joking
Same with ex-Iowa star Luka Garza who lost 3O-40 pounds after leaving Iowa and before the draft. The role Ron was playing here called for more girth than he'd want to carry in the NBA. He'll translate more to a SF at the next level.

Only if you’re insecure…Those pink shorts are a problem.
You sound funToo stupid of a comment to be taken half serious. Not joking.

Actually many of the top 7 or 8 players coming out of high school every year turn out to be better as freshman than almost all the upper classmen in college. And this is why the NBA draft is geared towards 18-19 year old freshman and sophomores.

I don't agree with this post. Ron playing the 4 at 235 in the B1G would have been plenty of weight to bang with other 4's. Playing at 260 was way too much weight and would really affect his speed and quickness. Needs to definitely shed more weight to have a chance in the NBA.Banging with the big bodies when at the 4 would be a good reason to keep the weight up.
Now trying for a wing position in the pros calls for less weight and more speed .
Thus lose the extra baggage and play at a lighter weight to add speed not needed heft that can slow you down
RHJ needed the extra weight to help Rutgers, now he needs to lose that in order to make the pros.
I'd say Ron did pretty well in collegeI don't agree with this post. Ron playing the 4 at 235 in the B1G would have been plenty of weight to bang with other 4's. He did. Would have been even better if in better condition.I'd say Ron did pretty well in college
