Obviously hate UL, but not pleased with that outcome. Coming back from that deficit on the road only makes Duke tougher.

Great night!

90% of Gameday on Saturday will be spent profiling this miraculous comeback by Duke!

Great for the state, imo...

That was, well, I dont know what that was. The whole what the ref's can and cannot review is ridiculous. God forbid someone uses an arm to "hook" a player and it is looked at for 5 minutes then called a flagrant, a ******** in/out of the arc is reviewable, but not a goal tend. Sounds legit to me

So not that I give a **** about Louisville losing, but this is really crazy to me.

A hand touching the ball above the cylinder is an objective thing. The contact is the only variable regarding the call. Perfect for review.

A block/charge has a thousand different variables, and three possible outcomes (block/charge/no call.) But you can apparently review ONE aspect of the call and make a decision about it after the fact.

Burn the NCAA and college officiating to the ground. All of it.

Some icing on that UL debacle would be reading that the huge douchebag Duke kid in the student section got his *** kicked.

Madder than a hornet and couldn't sleep last night.

Obvious goaltending.

Never should've let it come down to that, but damn.

LSU is pretty good, but we are 10 points better.

Shooters have to make shots. Johnson can't hide for the middle 20 minutes of the game. He was terrible on defense and boxing out in the 2nd half.

Couldn't watch any of the Duke vs Louisville game. Glad one of them lost.

Not-so-Shorts:

- Still pissed. Didn’t sleep well. That said, now have calmed down a bit. Thanks to BBdK and Geesefeeder for providing a sounding board in-game (and dealing with my redass) and GYERO for allowing me to vent. Helps.

- Thought before last night LSU was seriously underrated. Waters- even when he’s not outstanding- makes everyone on the floor better. Reid is a frickin stud. Smart is a nice ballplayer. Not sure how Emmitt Williams is playing but he’s tough. And slimy as he is, Wade is one of the top 5 young coaches in the game. I like their makeup for a nice March run. I also want them in the SECT for some revenge.

- The great thing about college basketball is that these games, while important, aren’t essential. We didn’t just lose a bid to the Sugar Bowl. I think our shot at a one is pretty much done but the 2s are all pretty weak so we should be fine there. I don’t care who we get as long as it’s not Duke ... so it will be Duke. smh

- It really is hilarious comparing our home whistle to what Kansas and Duke get. For all the controversy over the goaltend being reviewed, the point is being missed that these hacks missed an obvious call.

- We’ve all been saying it since November- for this team to be a legit title contender as opposed to a F4 contender, our wings have to be elite. Maybe it’s asking too much. At the least, Johnson and Herro have to make wideopen shots created by Hagans and inside-out.

- We have our go-to guy. Washington continues to be terrific.

- Cal has to give Richards/Montgomery a chance at Travis’s minutes against length. I think he knows it, too.

- Cal made a good point- being clutch is great, but these Cats have to make plays when we’re up 12, too. We relax, get careless, forget about the glass. It’s happened 3x. What happened to the arms-length poise we showed against Carolina and Louisville?

- Hagans hasn’t been great lately, but even Fox went through a mid-conference slump. I think he’ adjust and come back.

- This Tennessee is a must-win game. Let’s get it. And Rupp needs to be much more raucous than it was last night.

- I’m preferring to enjoy Louisville blowing that lead and ignoring Duke’s comeback. F Louisville. That was an absolute embarrassment. Never seen anything like it. They were literally giving Duke the ball for 7 straight minutes.

- My poor dog. He hates UK games but is too loyal to leave my side. Literally lays on my feet, puts his head in my lap. Wife will take him upstairs- he comes back down to comfort me. Makes me feel terrible.

This particular Duke team is so daggum hateable it’s impressive. It’s like putting on that jersey gives you dbag super powers.

I went to pick my daughter up at her middle school to go to the dentist yesterday and I saw two Duke shirts, one on a girl b-ball player and one on a guy b-ball player.

In the heart of WKY on a UK game day. They must be stopped at all costs.

You are the worst redass poster on gyero. Take a lap, booker.

Meh, I've said worse. Hagans was on the "probably going pro" list 2 weeks ago. He needs to quit being tentative. He is back to early season form and we have become stagnate. The last 2 games have been a disturbing trend.

I'm pretty ornery today. Last night was multiple gut punches.

I think Keldon gets more of a pass than Herro. Herro is who I thought he was minus a few percentage points on his 3 point shot. In fact, he is a little better in most areas than I thought...works his *** off on both ends of the floor as well.

Why are teammates constantly having to beg KJ to get his head in the game and “wake up”? My gawd, he was billed as MKG with a J...MKG never ever had to be begged to play hard.

What's up with Baker's shot? Dude shoots a moon ball for dead eye.

No idea. I am having a real hard time getting past it. Its incredible that Herro and Johnson can hit contested 3's but have no chance on wide open ones. Baker's shots in the last couple of games have been wide open and you know its not going to hit at the release.

I think Johnson gets too amped sometimes at the beginning of games but he was pretty good last night. He catches hell in GYERO. No one says boo about Herro’s inefficent shooting and two ****** plays in the last minute.

Love the kid but UK fans ignore his flaws.

Johnson’s hitting 41% from deep and 48% FG. Not sure you can ask much more.

Conpare that to the Golden Boy’s 35/45 splits.

Yes. Puts a slight sense of why in the heck am I so wide moment in their heads...out of rhythm of what the normal game rhythm should be. Just enough of a pause to throw that rhythm off balance. The pros are great at overcoming...but college? Most kids are still adjusting to the game.

This team plays better on the road and at neutral sites than at home. Strange for such a young team. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost to Tennessee at home and beat them on the road.

It helps that he doesn't tend to do anything stupid.
Like Anth said, plays the same no matter if his shot is going down or not. I never question if the dude’s head is in the game.

...that being said, that 1 on 2 midrange pull-up at the end of the game was “sit your butt beside Brad” stupid. I think he had a HS flashback on that shot.

KJ is not anything like he was billed as. Not his fault, or anybody’s fault. Herro is pretty much what we expected, maybe even more seeing how he can actually defend. Both are fine. We were just expecting KJ to be MKG for some odd reason, and he’s the exact opposite of that.
