Riding in a vehicle is yet another in the long list of things that upsets WS's tummy.

I'd have ponied up for the flight too, anth. Solid move.
Hey *******, the flight from Madrid to Nice was the last leg of the flight. And the flight was technically free for the trip that I won at work. And for the record, my stomach has been much better since I quit drinking beer regularly and started eating healthier.

* Matt House and Eddie Gran turning down bigger offers to stay at Kentucky....
The Chiefs didn't want to pony-up $150k to buy-out House's contract for a LB coaching position with at least 20 other viable candidates. But other than that, I think you nailed it.

For as long as I've been alive, Kentucky has been a coaching graveyard. The fact that our defensive coordinator was offered a job by the odds on Super Bowl favorites next year, and ultimately turned it down, is a HUGE step in the right direction, and is still a sign to me that he's extremely positive about next season.

If you and UKO want to argue the semantics, have at it. I'll be over here continuing to feel enthusiastic that what we've got going on in Lexington is good enough for sought after coaches to actually want to remain here.

If by "ultimately turned it down," you mean House didn't want to pay $150k out of his own savings account to be a position coach with a pretty significant pay cut, then I guess you nailed it again....

The point is that for 95% of UK's football history, not only would none of our coaches been offered any position with a great NFL team, they also would have gladly paid to leave for the resume boost alone.

You also agree with UKO, so

An NFL team wanted our Defensive Coordinator to Coach on their staff. Georgia wanted our Offensive Coordinator to be their Offensive Coordinator. Regardless of how it all ultimately went down, I view it as a significant positive. Typically we are begging teams like Southern Miss to take our Offensive Coordinators off our hands.

Know where those guys ended up? Me neither.

So yes, Matt House turning down that job is a step in the right direction. Given this school's history, "moving up" to a LB coach position for the Super Bowl favorites is a better place to be than defensive coordinator at Kentucky.

I'm all for this newfound optimism in our football program, but for f*cks sake, let's stop twisting facts.

Matt House did not turn down KC. If KC was willing to pay the $150k to buy-out his contract (which they weren't), House was gone. Or, put differently, if House didn't have a buy-out in his contract, would he be the UK defensive coordinator today? No...

[eyeroll]

Edit: That all being said, I'm *thrilled* he is staying at UK.

Can we please stop the Tummy shaming?

Im glad House will be at back at UK, and hopefully House is cool with it. But the whole KSR reports of “Its official Matt House is STAYING AT KENTUCKY!!!” are slightly misleading as they do not even mention the whole contract/buyout stuff.

YAHTZEE!!!!!

Hey chase, errr DUMBASS, nobody said they preferred 45 and RAINING. The whole point was that everyone preferred 45 and DRY over 65 and raining. Way to totally not understand the whole entire freaking point!!

Except it wasn't "45" on Friday...it was COLD, as in 20's COLD...and dry. Way to totally embellish the temps to make the misery of Feb sound more attractive.

And FWIW....65 and raining IN FEBRUARY is infinitely better than 25 and dry.

TFP.

What in the F are you talking about?? TODAY is 45 degrees and raining. The original point of the conversation was that cold temps (basically 45 and below) and dry is MORE DESIREABLE than 65 and raining.

Today, it is 45 and raining and does not count as more desireable. Congrats on being as dense as chase. You two should go F each other.

To be fair that probably did Old Louisville a favor.

New house is a fall-away lot on a nice little ridge. I enjoy displacing water downhill tbh.
