The have 8 games left. 3 of the 4 road games are against teams with losing conference records, and the other is tied with them at 6-4. They've got home games vs Baylor and K-State (2 of the 3 teams ahead of them) and can avenge the embarrassment at Morgantown as well.
They go down to Texas and beat TCU and Tech, and they're going to be right there. Unfortunately. That conference is overrated this year.
Travis is a good player and shouldered a large load of the burden early in the season. He helped keep things together when they could have been worse while we were still trying to figure things out. Now, at this point in the season, Travis is mostly interchangeable with Richards and EJ. The collective provides us more margin for error and additional tools to utilize against a wide array of attacks. From the group, all I am looking for is Jorts-esque production which is do the dirty work and finish when setup.
We are fighting for a 4/5 seed instead of a 1/2 without Travis

What are your qualifications outside of playing intramural ball at Transy? I’m actually surprised there were enough people wanting to play intramural ball based on the student population there. I appreciate some of your stuff but why you act like you’re some all knowing basketball expert and get all pissy and try to challenge anyone on here is puzzling. This is GYERO, none of us are claiming to be Bobby Knight when it comes to x & o’s. The Cats are playing maybe the best we’ve played in 4 years and here you come getting all prickly and btchy on here. The thing about DK and Geese’s Travis take is that I just don’t remember anyone clamoring that Reid was our savior or even best player.
Why in touch is everything so black and white now? You can appreciate Travis and his strengths without being labeled that you think he’s our best player. People can’t put things into perspectives anymore.

Travis did a great defensive job on Silva last night. Silva ate our guys alive last year and was a non-factor this time.
Reid's role on this team has become Charles Oakley. Board it and shut down their best big. He's done a good job there. The occasional strong offensive performances like Auburn and Kansas are icing on a pretty dang good cake.

-Caught the last couple of minutes of Vandy/Arkansas last year and when Arkansas called a timeout to set up their last-second play I nearly LOL'd at the thought of Mike Anderson dialing up a last-second play. Sure enough, it was a mess, and they only won because Gafford is a stud and a Vandy kid gave a phantom push-off on their last possession. There isn't a head coach in the SEC who I trust less than Mike Anderson.
