So if Michigan State loses is it because the Big Ten is so great now? Las time it was free throws so there has to be another excuse
I love Travis, he just has very little to do with us playing our best, more of a 'bail out' kinda guy, imo. A valuable contributor, not a star.
Many of GYERO acted as if he was our savior early, while it was clear to basketballs that he was not -- that's all. He's a very good college basketball player -- a luxury, just like Richards imo. I'm happy to have him. He's been key in a few games this year, and I expect he'll help us win a few more. And he's obviously an outstanding young man, and I appreciate that, too!
For us to be at our best, it will have very little to do with Reid Travis. I've said that from Day 1, and I don't think it could be anymore evident now. That's not cute, it's true - i'm sorry that's such a sensitive subject in here.
Baker was a outstanding tonight, btw. But as much as I honk him and as pure of a shooter as he clearly is...I *hate* his release.

Travis brings the floor of the team higher, but has a lesser effect on the ceiling. When everything is going wrong he keeps the thing afloat until the other guys get their heads right.
PJ is the key. If you’re using performances from this season and not “potential” he might be our only lotto pick. He made a great decision to come back and I hope other guys see a second year at UK doesn’t mean you’ve got AIDS

-The defensive turn around with this team is nothing short of amazing. They were inept early on.
-Cal has to be loving it. Our 2nd team has been sparking our recent runs. No staring down that bench, like KSU game last year, with no answers.
-I think Jones said it best, if Travis is our best player we're in trouble. If he's our 3-4th best we're going all the way. I don't recall when he was the "focal" point or anyone who ever considered him our best player. Seems like everyone thought he'd be a savior in the grind of the season. Which he absolutely has. Most consistent player on the team. I don't have anything but love for Reid MF Travis. Silva was so frustrated Martin had to pull him before he punched Travis.
-Hagans gets himself in trouble in the lane. Often gets in the air. Needs to clean it up for us to get the offense rolling.
-Going to be a tough out, especially in a 2nd game of a weekend. Don't want to get im a war of attrition with us. We've been grinding these teams down. They're dead the last 4-8 minutes of these games.

He's not a FEATURE guy, which 90% of you were clamoring for in November. Nothing should ever 'run through' Reid Travis. He's a glorified garbage guy who needs to pass out of the post 3 seconds earlier.
He's not even a 3/4 option. More like 5/6, tbh. He plays better in high tempo than I ever thought so I'll give him that.
But let's stop this whack *** discussion and focus on the emerging Baker, IQ, and my boy Eeeeeej.
