* That “both teams are playing like they know the winner has to go to the White House” joke would be much funnier and relevant if Brady and Belichick weren’t huge Trump supporters.

* Dude. This city was bonkers yesterday, as nearly every bar and restaurant in town refused to show the game. Instead, most replayed the 2010 Super Bowl and hosted boycott parties. Second line parades, street parties, etc. Had a blast.

* Homecoming is pretty good.

* Portnoy’s claim to fame is eating pizza. Good lord. Do better, people.

* The KYWildcatsTV videos are probably in my top 3 favorite things about UK wins anymore. They won 25 CoSIDA awards last year for a reason.

* What a great win Saturday, more impressive after time to reflect. Auburn was the best win of the year IMO but Saturday's took balls.

* Death, taxes, Mateen Cleaves and Morris Peterson are 41 years old. I have pent up frustration at Tom Izzo for 2016 and 2018, especially 2018 when he benched Jaren Jackson in the second half of an NCAA game just for the lolz, and it's bleeding into 2019. Can't beat dead man walking Indiana at home? FOH.

* You know the real winner of the Super Bowl? Journalists.

* I'm a sucker for footage of a coach coming into a celebrating locker room after a big win. We've had a couple of them with Mark Stoops lately, and there was one that was near and dear to my heart yesterday in Arkansas, so enjoy this wholesome moment.

Looks like the scene from when the guys from Hickory went crazy with Norman Dale back in 1954.

The defensive effort for that final 12 minutes or so on Saturday was pretty fun to watch. This is kind of like staring down the barrel of a loaded gun for a shaky guard.

-For reasons I don't care to share here if I survive the next 45 days that will be great. So we'll see, I guess.

-As I like to say this time of year, just keep winning basketball games.

-Hated to see Bellarmine's home winning streak snapped. Was a cool thing. Like to see my Knights get another title in 2019.

-Did you know that February is not only Black History Month, but it's also the month of love? Sammy Kershaw's "Love of My Life" is a top 10 love song for Dad. I can hear *it* in Sammy's voice there.

-I was in a pinch last night so I grabbed Tyson's frozen buffalo wings. Absolute trash. Their buffalo strips aren't terrible FWIW.

-Painted the Jack and Jill bath and nursery this weekend. All trimwork and doors included. Shampoo upstairs carpet with a Home Depot rental ($22 for 4 hours - not a bad deal btw). Major yard cleanup. On my grind, cousin.

-Pornoy is a child.

If you want to say the Pats are better all time then that is on you. No doubt this is their era though.

Some of it has to be an act with Portnoy but some it is that he is a child. Why was he banned from all official NFL events this past weekend? Because of his criticism of Goodell?

Probably that and showing up at the media day to ask really stupid questions while acting like a jackass. Great PR for Barstool though, plays right into their hands and fan base.

I really like the PMT guys, though. They're really talented.

Not bad, but you could make the argument the Steelers and Patriots are both pretty similar to UCLA. Steelers won 4 titles in the 70's, then a couple more in a 4 season span (2005, 2008). New England has won their titles over a 17-year span, but also had Super Bowl appearances in the 80's and 90's. Likewise, UCLA had a big run in the 70's, and then had a few other spurts of greatness.

I'd probably compare us to the Green Bay Packers more than the Steelers. Sustained success over the history of the program throughout many eras.

I still like us as Steelers better. Just can't get past the Bay of Pigs era for GB. Steelers have never had a bad stretch like that.

My only contact with Barstool is the occasional Instagram pizza review, and the Foreplay podcast (which is fantastic).

Other than that, I’m not a huge fan. Not a “hater” either, I just don’t care.

Most annoying part of the Barstool posts on any social media forum, the hundreds of obvious and unfunny "one (insert literally anything regarding the post), everyone knows the rules".

Portnoy is a child, an ***, but also a brilliant businessman. They were banned after the deflategate sit-in at NFL headquarters.

But the NFL is so damn stupid to play into their hands like this. Free publicity, and he obviously doesn’t give a ****.

Over a couple of decades, Sergio Garcia has gone from being an annoying Ryder Cup villain, to a tolerable player you could be happy watching finally win a major, to maybe my favorite player of all time. He just became the 1st player to be DQ'd for the new "Spirit of the game" rule.



This isnt even what got him DQ'd-- he would later go completely off the rails and damage a few greens. That last part of the video where he looks like he is taking a slap shot off the sand really puts it over the top.

Loved this sequence. Hagans tried to feed the post, his man slumped so he reversed the ball to Herro. Herro fakes to the opposite side then makes a return pass to Hagans. As his man instinctively tries to close, Hagans immediately gets the ball to Washington, who's established perfect position in the post.



To me, this demonstrates a high level of basketball IQ as well as an excellent understanding of what your coach wants you to do. Good stuff.

Fell asleep during the game Saturday, then woke up, saw we were still losing and took a shower. Got out, and we were sealing the victory. Life is just funny sometimes.

Got on Twitter and saw Megan calipari doing the typical shitting on UK fans thing that’s become popular with the ksr/UK tmz crowd. I made the rather vanilla comment that most UK fans are very happy with the direction of the team right now, and she apparently took offense to that, and said it was obvious I am not a happy person and that she was clearly joking. Boom. Roasted.

Saw the 230’s on the scale for the first time in about 4 years this weekend. Didn’t last long as I cooked some wings and ABT’s for the big game yesterday. Back on the spinach grind today.

Speaking of the big game, is there a more meh band than maroon 5? I mean, just completely boring music. They should be the house band for every wine and painting class for middle aged white women. Travis Scott and big boi were fine but not enough time was devoted to them.

Speaking of caucasians, it’s pretty incredible what the patriots do with so many of them on one roster.

I enjoy a 68 degree day in February but the mud that goes with it is the worst. That’s the thing nobody really ever brings up when there is a warm day in winter. All the damn mud.

Zeurlein missing that FG at the end of the game cost me winning a grand on a squares pool. :weary: Kickers.

5th in the country and right there in the 1 seed talk. Hold serve at home, split with Tennessee, and win both road games in the Magnolia State. That gets us the 1 in Louisville.

Really like how are guys are holding each other accountable during the game and responding to the challenge. PJ taking control down 11, and the game changed completely. Toughened up their defense and made that run. That last 10 minutes of the game was easily their best defense of the year.

Metallica at Yum and Blackberry Smoke at the Opera House back to back weeks next month.

Feel like I'll be pissing Miller Lite for days.

Lach is fill in hosting Valvano’s show for 3 hours and has to take calls (which he doesn’t do on his regular show from 10-12).

Seems like all of the redass members of The Faithful are taking advantage calling in giving him the business about his non stop anti UK, anti Cal, and anti SEC takes. The last 2 callers wasted no time and came out of the gate screaming at him.
