Took my oldest to see his friends play bball last night. I don't know when in the **** 6th graders started pulling Eurosteps out of their asses and decided to be as tall as grown-*** men, but it was an eye opener.
I live in rural Western Kentucky and I go to these middle school games and it's crazy how advanced these kids are skill wise at that age. The internet, man, these kids aren't just watching basketball passively like we did, they are studying tutorials about how to go hesitation, crossover, stepback combo. Steph and Harden have made handling the ball and shooting cool, Durant has tall kids stepping out and stroking 3's.

That said, lot of ugly turnovers result from that crap as well.

My 5-6th grade catholic league coach gave me these to improve my ball handling skills...

I most certainly did NOT improve in any of the above.

Well, was pretty impressed with the lass today. She stood up and rode fher first wave on the first try. We had a great instructor, total surfer brah, he even knew who John Short was.

Going back in the AM to rent boards and catch more waves. Ugh tomorrow night the harsh kick of reality comes and trip back to the mainland. Puppies appreciated.

I could live in paradise, too.

Anyone else?
I think I could handle it. Although, I’ve moved myself and 4 friends in the last week which has really been a blast.

Just realized that a regular at the bar is good ol Col. Sanders great great great granddaughter. Trust fund as can be but super nice. Always wondered why she would tell me about their box at the Derby. Apparently her dad is the physician for the jockies at The Downs too.

That is remarkable. No, it's incredible. The connections you make as a bartender are unreal.

(But you still don't seem able to spell a word that anyone associated with Kentucky should know). Congrats on the big tips from the regular! Sounds like the big move from Tats & Scars is already paying dividends.

I didn’t move to another bar been at the other one for 6 years, just stopped working at Tats because 4am wasn’t doing it for me anymore. Don’t worry about my dividends pal, another buddy from KY and I just took ownership of a business 1/1/19. Don’t trip over each other to be the first to congratulate me though.

And definitely not trying to lock it up. Just someone I’ve been friends with for years, knew she was a trust fund kid but didn’t know it was from the Col. WillamJ, I have no idea how many greats it is, just threw a few in there to get the point across.

-Been battling a URI, not an ideal way to start the new year. Body finally called it quits after Pope/NYE I guess.

-What's up with WVU? Expected a little slippage, but they had quite a bit of core returning..they're a mess. Will this be the year Huggy dies on the sideline? (b/c that *will* happen, unfortunately). This can't be good for his health.

-My little brother is on this 'Holy Ship' EDM cruise that's in the national news for rampant drug busts b/c of course he is. Dude's an animal, I've seriously never seen anyone like it, even on all the MTV shows. Definitely worth an IG/Snap follow if you're into daily shenanigans.

-Pumped about the winter weekend. :fire:

-Anyone have any experience hanging bistro style lighting on a porch/patio? That's the vibe I'm looking for out back -- had Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Louisville come out for a consultation/quote...$3200 :joy:. That included a few accents & uplighting out front as well, but what am I missing here? I'm pretty ignorant on these things, but that seems ridiculous, no?

-Dogs have really aged a bit this past year. They still have their moments, but the drop off is palpable. Not 'old' dogs yet, but definitely no longer the always-energetic pups.

-Scooped some 'Cream of Kentucky' last weekend at a LB release. Seems like they're trying to be the next KY Owl, but reviews are good across the board.

-Busy start to '19

We really need the temps to drop some on Saturday and Sat night so we can get some nice snow instead of a rain infested pile of messy ****.

Would LOVE a snowy January day with a fire cranking, hoops on in the background and beverages to indulge. May walk across the street to Cherokee for some sledding. Something about snow falling and a blanketed white canvass is ultra relaxing.

Come on, Motha Nature!

I'd rather not have to drive to Rupp and back in a blizzard on Saturday, but after I get back home Mother Nature should feel free to dump as much of the white stuff as she can.

* 50-55 and sunny right now. Mostly 45-65 the next two weeks. Move south, Richards.

* In the most egregious act of domestic warfare yet, the lass has been tossing her dirty clothes into my bin, as she's stayed here the last few days. Not sure how to properly dispose of a **** rag in this situation. I've never really been one to have one by the bed at all times, just mostly grab something out of the hamper and clean up accordingly. Not anymore, though. Ugh. BBC.

* President is coming to town on Monday for the Farm Bureau convention...….six thousand people. :scream:

They had five different corporate sponsors > $100,000. Can't believe how big some of these seemingly random conventions are. Also in town -- Aaron Tippin and Eddie Montgomery. Can't miss, imo.

* The NFL may suck, but having an incredibly fun, likeable, dominate team in town sure is swell. Will be tearing it up at Sunday's playoff game tailgate. I feel bad for all you Bengals fans out there.

* 70% tax rate. :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

* Really liking the way this schedule plays out for us. We've got a lot to sort out, and the SEC is already tough enough as is before also adding in Kansas. Vandy and Georgia should be a couple more easy wins.

* I think we're gonna start hearing the term "x factor" bandied about when Quickley's name comes up in conversation.

* Anyone else got a good recommendation for a hot young dude to follow on Insta??

* krazykats is something else in that Stock Advice thread, man. Something freaking else. He's like the official Get Rich Quick Guy on GYERO. Guarantee he stays up late at night watching those no-money-down money flipping seminar shows, too.

Bistro Style Lights:

We bought the hanging ones (bulbs not LED) a few years back for like $75 for 40ft.

I put a metal eye in the brick of the exterior wall (centered) and another metal eye on two other walls. Ran a cable from eye to eye to eye and created a V shape. Then used zip ties to attach the lighting to the wire. The lighting is to heavy to hang without the wire

PTI, the guy asking for jiz rag advice in his mid 30’s, thinks that I am a nerd loser on my moms couch looking for a get rich quick scheme because I’m heavily invested in 1 marijuana stock.

Someone should really warn this new chick about you before you move her 900 miles away for a job that you’ll be fired from after only a few years.

Hopefully she wears earrings for self defense!
