Chad, did you also never shop at the Romany Road Kroger where John Short was a bagger for years and years? And he's since transferred to the Euclid Kroger.

Yeah, Sloot. Chad drives down to the Romany Road/Euclid Kroger(s) from Newport/Cincinnati/Wilder/Mt. Adams/Claryville all the time.

Chad, John Short calls in to pretty much every pregame and postgame show ever. He talks fast, calls everyone a Good American and predicts the Cats will win by (insert number) bigguns and the Girls Team will win by (insert number) bigguns. Legend. You know who he is.

His voice is sort of a mix between a sped up Gomer Pyle and BBdK after a few G&Ts.

KenPom did a pretty deep analysis and couple years back about “3-point defense” and that it basically was a farce. IIRC, he basically stated that the best way to play three point defense is to simply prevent teams from taking them. It was a pretty in-depth analysis about contested vs non-contested shots, etc.

Farce? Preventing teams from taking 3-pt shots IS playing 3-pt defense.

How exactly do you even *prevent* teams from taking three point shots rather than *contesting* those shots? Just give them wide open two point shots that are so appealing they have to take them?

I like the extra 70K and health insurance my wife brings in by having a career. I also like that she is taking care of her own retirement and such. Our parents are both great and able to help out so I get the people that weigh the cost of daycare vs a working wife. We didn’t have to really deal with that.

Different places for everyone. I know a guy whose wife had an occupational therapist career. She still pretends to be that despite not working in that field for ten years. She slangs purses at the outlet mall for 20 hrs a week instead.

- A little dickheadedness goes a long way in invigorating gyero. You welcome.

- I enjoy the grocery store mostly BECAUSE of the yoga pants.

- Please God give me some good Saturday snow drankin.

- My wife doesn’t plan to stop working once a mother but does plan to open a doggy daycare. Stay tuned ...

Have a buddy who's wife just finished OT school this past Summer but doesn't plan on working once they start having children in the next couple years and that was a plan before she started grad school. Never quite understood the point of that.

I completely understand people's frustrations w/ PJ, as he's been anything but reliable in his time here. BUT, I feel like we need to do a better job putting him in positions to be successful. He's such a quick jumper, and dunks everything in sight, especially in traffic. Just think he's a legit weapon that we aren't even coming close to utilizing correctly.

We go compete halves without getting him in those baseline/post positions. I'm sure some of it's on him, but certainly not all of it. As I've alluded to all year, I think Travis eating up that space and receiving the bulk of the touches doesn't help his cause - dude is a very poor, and sometimes nearly non-existent passer.

Well, you can stop right there because it’s not about you, or UK, or championships...Get over yourself. This is about PJ and his dreams, this is about PJ developing his jumper, this is about PJ switching screens.

You guys really think Cal is joking or something.

-This could be said for a lot of players under Cal, IMO.

I’ve wondered why we set PJ in the corner on a designed play where that guy in that spot is supposed to space the floor. I specifically remember in 2012 starting several sets where DLamb was that guy.

- We have 3 kids and my wife started back as part time after each child. She has always, once full time, taken on 16 hour shifts Saturday/Sunday and been paid for a full 40 hour week.

That schedule creates havoc in all of our lives, but to her working part time and doing probably 75% of the kids stuff and housework is worse and made her miserable even though it fulfilled her “motherly” characteristics.

- Just priced out some bourbon barrels and I am surprised the GYERO Bourbon heads haven’t already thought of this route for yourselfs!

Literally was laughing about The Who is John Short, turned to the person in line for coffee next to me, and they knew who he was.

BBN is everywhere.

North Shore vibes.

Lol, krazykats "doesn't even really drink", and the few bottles he does have are collectibles stashed on the top shelf of his clothes closet (I've seen pictures) -- and now he's buying by the barrel. [laughing]

Dude is a GYERO treasure, I don't care what anyone says.

...I'll take your word on the drinking habits. I couldn't get past the attempted use of "yourselfs" unless a noticeable part of the barrel had been consumed prior to posting.

Turns out that Kliff Kingsbury was just too gd handsome and cool to go unemployed for long. Congrats on the new gig with Arizona, KK. Well deserved!

-Now that Travis isn't rebounding like a mad man and getting putbacks, yes, he's a drain on the offense. I still like the big pairings Richards/Washington and Montgomery/Travis.

-What's so frustrating is we've watched each player be really good in spurts. Johnson and Washington just have periods where they disappear and we can't have that. Didn't think we'd have that issue with Johnson.

-Absolutely loved the bench spark last night. I'm not calling for a platoon but line change occasionally and pulling some of those minutes is a great motivator. Quickley and Baker looked great out there.

I really thought we'd have more "Johnson" jokes by Boat so far this season. Maybe he used them all on Dakari.
