the last 3 national champs have ranked 5th, 56th and 2nd in three point attempts. UK has ranked 167th, 97th, 327th, and the current team -- his "best three point shooting team ever" -- is 341st.

Not that Utah is a good team by any stretch, but that was easily the best this team has looked on both ends of the court tonight.
Sure hope Baker doesn’t lose a guy in practice this week or something. Would sure like to see more of him.

Neither of the looks he got were totally clean. The second one was better but he was still off balance after shaking the defender loose with that side step. He came in ice cold after sitting all game. Probably thinking "I've got to press and try and do something on this limited time."
A whole lot of reasons those shots should have clanked off the rim. I expected them both to be misses when he released. Baker seems like one of those guys who if he gets it off, it's in. Could solve a lot of the problems on our offense just having him camp out on the wing.

We have shot 20 or more 3’s in 3 of our last 4 games and averaged 19.25 in those games. That’s an upward trend on the 3 front.
I noticed our “pass it directly into the arms of a much taller defender” and “jack shots at inopportune times” plays were down substantially tonight.

Baker is pure, and it’s clear and easy to see with that stroke. The one in fluid motion was nothing, but the second 3 where he stopped, hesitated and had his defender relaxed and then pulled.......that’s a thing of beauty to quote Donnie Brasco.

Not going to be popular amongst you simple-minded rubes but I’m with Cal on the Pitino reconciliation. Life’s too short. Be cool to see him happy at Rupp again IMO.
Maybe recognize him at Rupp for what he did at UK and also recognize him for destroying Louisville.

The last thing I want if I were an ultra-competitive humiliated 66-year old with no future left in the game would be for my rival that got the better of me for the last 10-years to invite me back to bury the hatchet. That’s salt in the wound for Pitino.
Supposed to head to Amsterdam tomorrow, so sure enough the stomach bug hit my house today. Two of three kids down this AM, and both my wife and I started feeling funny this afternoon.
Not sick yet, so allegedly there's hope. However, I feel like the guy in the old werewolf movies who was bit by the wolf. Although he pretends he still has a chance, deep down he knows he’s turning into a werewolf and it’s just a matter of when. So as the full moon comes out he just keeps checking himself in the mirror, waiting for a sign that the transformation is about to begin. That’s me right now in bed. Just waiting for that fateful moment when I run into the bathroom to start puking.
