I mean, I'd be happy as hell with 9-3 every few years and 7-5, 8-4 most other years. Basically what Iowa has been under Ferentz since 2005 or Mullen at MSU. Be the best sustained run in our history. But I think legit East contender will be a fluke thing, which is why we have to take advantage of years when it is a fluke thing. Like this year...

We certainly should beat Middle and Louisville; but, I'm being cautiously optimistic about it. It certainly wouldn't be uncharacteristic for this program to shoot bloody diarrhea down their legs.

However, if we go 9-3, I don't know how anyone can complain about the season, at all. Of course we have major flaws, we are Kentucky football. It wasn't that long ago we were 2-10.

With that said, there is a fine line. If we go 8-4 we've severely underachieved based on the expectations the team set for us. And I'm not going to want to hear from the coaches "WE WON 8 GAMES BEST SEASON HER IN 4 SCORE WE SHOULD GET PARAIDS

-i could have been ok with a loss Saturday, UT still has dudes...the beat down is another story. Terrible performance by staff/players. I will *never* be off the UK football bandwagon...but im getting low on giveafuck.

It's almost like Stoops doesn't want an extra 250k for every win starting with the seventh one. Seventh. I mean, [laughing]

I think most are mad about the UT loss because that 10 win season and Peach/Fiesta Bowl birth were right there for the taking. It was a blown opportunity and I'm sure if we get to 9 I'll look back fondly but in the moment it frustrating. The collapse in 2007 still sticks in my mind and will be until after the UL game. I mean we are still in-season right now.

- I better be sipping some rare, high quality brown water at Boat’s wedding or I’ll be disappointed. You’re a boat-owning, Porsche-driving physician, by gawd.

- Was in Nashville last September.

- Jaimanthony are more worried about their place in the elite circles of Traveling UK Fan than they are the best place to catch the games and have fun.

- 9-3 isn’t good enough around here no more.

- Imagine what those Europeans are thinking about the sight of Willy right now.

- So my wife spent $20 to call a pet psychic in New Jersey on Saturday to find out important **** like my dog’s best friend and favorite treats. I’ve never seen her more excited about anything including our engagement. Apparently, Blue loves salami and considers Rocky, NOT Rosie his BFF in case you were wondering. fml

- Come on Basketball gods- just get me back where I can enjoy **** like UNC being knocked out of a holiday tournament early.

The reason we can complain about 9-3 is that since halftime of the South Carolina game we've looked like a 5-7 team. We got really lucky at Mizzou, so there's a bit of a fool's gold feel to this record. That, plus the downward trajectory of our offense gives me no excitement for the upcoming bowl game. And frankly, I'm pissed off with Stoops talking about us having the chance to win 9 games as in his "appreciate what you have, rubes" tone.

This is the problem I have with some of the football first fans. It’s like they’re just watching the games in a vacuum. Of course at the beginning of the season we would have all agreed 9-3 or even 8-4 would be a great season. But once you’re actually in the season and you see what was possible and how we have regressed significantly since September, it’s completely rational to be frustrated by it. Kentucky beats the brakes off Tennessee if that game was played on 9/22. But now Benny and the line are beat all to hell and the staff has done nothing to improve the offense at all or prepare any kind of plan B. So
now, we’re having to readjust our expectations, as we do every year. But this time it’s a bigger letdown than usual since the team in September was far superior to the team we’ve had since, and that’s on the coaches. So they can take their high and might WHY ARENT TOU HAPPY WE WON 7 GAMES horseshit and shove it. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest

Not a fan of that myself. Nor am I fan of his "5% tougher ATKOT" routine.

That's fair, Rax.

And when I say "compete" I don't necessarily mean having an actual game to WIN the East. Based on our start and general physicality, we had the feeling we could complete/win every game this season, and were pissed if/when we didn't -- as opposed to chalking up automatic "Ls" like in the past.

I hadn’t been frustrated at all really with football until this past weekend. I can excuse losing at Texas a&m, scraping by Vandy off a bye week and needing a miracle to win at a decent Mizzou team. And obvs losing to Georgia is whatever. But getting destroyed by a ****** Tennessee team is bad and the team looking completely uninterested is even worse. I really hope they get fired up for the Louisville game because they can abolsutely lose there with a similar performance as this last weekend.

I'm pretty disappointed by the UT game, but come 11/24 I'll be on Floyd Street coming off the end ready to rip someone's head off.

Folks, it's been an incredible year. I'll do 9 wins (assuming there is a God) and the September/October we just experienced every season until my deathbed if that's available.

<-- Was way out in front on Nashville btw.

In the back of my mind (hell even the front of my mind) I think we lose to a rejuvenated UL. Its not like we've fared that well against them since the series was resurrected anyway. I think that's driving my redass.

Honestly, we're pretty much a 7-5 program with an occasional chance at more. So when we don't take full advantage of those rare opportunities ...
Uhhh we certainly aren't a 7-5 program historically. We are arguably the worst program in the SEC save Vandy who is here for academics.

-I'm 100% fire the entire staff if this team loses to UL. That would be inexcusable.

-Why the SECT was so great in ATL is because hotels, travel and tickets are cheap and easy for folks that traditionally didn't have access to see the cats. We all planned vacationing around that week. Now a hotel in Nashville for 4-5 nights is 2k, bars are overcrowded, tickets are impossible. So we've turned our back on the best group of in game fans the program has. When I was kid it was the best week of my year.

-Only a few years before we have to start to taking G every year to SECT. I could easily be sold on a Vegas trip.

-Tampa is dumb for a SECT.

- Getting defensive and lecturing the fanbase about wins reeks of insecurity. Just put your head down and get back to work, Mark. Every time this team gets any kind of attention/hype it backfires. Benny's Heisman campaign? Times Square billboards during UGA week? The first playoff rankings? Coach of the Year discussion? Look what happens when you buy into that bs. Ratpoison, just like Saban says.

With that said, Mark's production as head coach is about as perfect for UK football as it gets. 7-5 with those rare seasons of overachievement is about all you can ask for. He's recruiting like crazy and working his *** off. There's no scenario where I think anyone should be out after his job.

Unfortunately, the man is boring and his brand/product is boring. I think he still bears a strong resentment toward our fanbase ever since last season's personal attack, and you can't blame a man for that. Still though, there is an obvious disconnect he has with BBN.

Mike Leach . . . I'm telling you. That dude is perfect for UK football. He'd get similar results and BBN would be entertained. You don't fire anyone to go out and get him, but if Mark ever leaves . . .

- Jeff Brohm will be UL's next coach and there will be a resurgence. Here's why:
1. Football gods hate UK and they've seen just about enough of our personal enjoyment of their downfall.
2. Young Jeff Brohm turned down offers from real football programs to stay at home in a decrepit stadium made for single-A baseball and truck-pulls. I mean, he could have lead the Fighting Irish out of the tunnel on fall Saturday afternoons (iirc), but chose to lead Birdgang through the Broadbent Arena parking lot to play powerhouses like Bethune Cookman on various Thursdays, Fridays, and maybe even a few Wednesdays. You think that guy is going to turn down an offer to go to what UL is now and be their head coach? He's in the bag and probably has been since Halloween.

- I have no problem with the SECT staying an hour away from my house.

^ UNC fans think they have a good shot to get Leach. Hope they are wrong. Not sure how he would fit in in that liberal ********.

- Had fun every time I've been to Tampa for UK games. I think @Wildcat Willy would agree.

Mike leach is the perfect Kentucky football coach. He’ll never coach here, but he’s tailor made for this job. I’ve always been jealous of schools that have coaches that epitomize the fan base and program. Dabo at Clemson. Mike Gundy at Oklahoma state. Holgo at West Virginia. Pete Carroll when he was at USC. Mark stoops would make the PERFECT coach at Purdue for a zillion reasons. Maybe he takes that job when Brohm bolts for Louisville.

I’m in a funk with college basketball as well mainly because that pile of diarrhea **** is still sitting there underneath the tree in my living room and I don’t want to go near it right now.

The stench may go away here and there if the Cats show some improvements over the course of the next 5 weeks against these mid majors plus Utah& Seton Hall but the shitstain won’t be fully removed unless we beat Carolina in Chicago on 12/22.

This is the worst- when the team’s struggling and redasses jump on this dumb **** that every coach says about every team before every GD game.

It’s hard enough being a fan right now without having to read this dumb **** in my dumb gyro sanctuary. Thanks, Chase. Eat ****.
