Antigua still has the stink of "academic fraud" lingering on him from USF.

Considering everyone of our national rivals has equal to greater stink, F it. Capel was fired at Oklahoma for stink then low and behold became the top recruiter in the land at Duke. Shocking how that came about with nary a word from the media.

-Rack WCC, Nailed each take. Nashville and CBB takes especially. Nothing to add.

-Yup, McDaniels at this point is huge for us. Especially if we're not getting 1 of the 3 2019 bigs. Gives us the 4,7,8. This is one it seems Cal has been on solo so we'll see.

-While I generally am not a big winter guy I do like snow.

-Van Hiles was the guy breaking down film. https://twitter.com/vstyles17 Worth a look. UGh.

-Just one NOLA and Atlanta SECT every 5-6 years would do. Tampa :rolleyes:

- No one goes to Nashville anymore - it's too crowded.

- Was reading to my youngest last night and buddy let me tell you - nothing brings the house down with an 8-year-old like a diorama/diarrhea joke.

- Same 8-year-old told us at dinner the other night that he remembers "sliding out of Mommy's butt" when he was born. I don't really believe him tbh.

- It's amazing how a simple thing like raking leaves for three hours can leave me feeling like I've been in a fight with a bear the next day. This is 41.

$55 direct flights from Louisville to Nola on Allegiant. Yes please.

Going wedding ring shopping today. Another kick in the nuts. At least I'm on the fast track to a 15K MQM bonus by year end. (Is Delta medallion status really worth it)

Gonna hit up Total Wine after, should put another dent in the new Delta Reserve card. Cool thing is our caterer is letting us buy the booze...more points.

If you can get vendors to accept paypal, more points there too if the payment comes from your card.

Points, points, points. I am consumed by the game.

My updated record for watching the football Cats on the road...
@Knoxville 0-4
@Louisville 0-3
@Vandy 1-1
@LSU 0-1
@UGA 0-2
@South Carolina 0-1
@Arkansas 1-0
@Gainesville 0-1
@Ole Miss 0-1
@MSU 0-2
@Alabama 0-2

2-18. 2 wins in 20 trips- and thats a better percentage than other folks i've talked to. And that trip to Arkansas I got a couple hundred dollar speeding ticket in some no-name Arkansas speed trap town which took a lot of the shine off of that win.

Knoxville this weekend was a disaster from start to finish. Got puke drunk Friday night, poor effort to rally on Saturday which ultimately ended up with me sitting among swarms of UT fans yelling that GD Rocky Top into my ear the entire game. They recognized I was in a bad state of mind and took advantage. Respect, I guess. Overall no issues with their fans- probably since it was never even a close game. I stayed to the bitter end to hate watch that football game. I think, in an effort to try and push myself over the edge to never wanting to watch another game. Remains to be seen if I reached the breaking point, but i know i'm close.

I don't know...a $55 flight scares the hell out of me. I mean, costs were cut *somewhere* to be able to charge that price.

2035?? Dang. Stoops will just be at the end of his upcoming extension from Milquetoast.

I didn't post it on here...but I felt that UT game coming all week.

Stoops has been unwilling/unable to adjust, either in-game or throughout seasons. Recruits well, develops players decently, and makes us a respectable program. Credit to him for ending the Florida streak and weirdly owning USC.

And he is going to be here for a long time, so we marcus get used to some piglet, good and bad.

But damn if our losses under him aren't just teeth grinding losses...whip the fanbase into a frenzy then crush their collective souls type losses.

BTW, Baker was suspended Saturday and I didn't even realize it until today.

I remember going to the 1998 game at UT. Four of us including SAE’s brother drove down there. Football game was a terrible, terrible experience. I remember Mumme going for it early on 4th down when we were on our own 20 with the game something like 7-6. The worst part was that the entire stadium knew we were going to fake it. First of many cold, dark beat downs I’ve witnessed there.

-Rack Chad, although he's not speaking from first hand experience, as he's spent 1 night in Nashville since 2010. My last two trips there were unbearable (and those were just for a random weekend & a Vandy game) which is why I skipped the SECT last year (and got endless **** about it, btw). By 2020, every country star will have their own bar. Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, and John Rich, being the latest. No thanks.

I'm telling you ----> We should make Vegas the SECT weekend for awhile. It was perfect last year -- just your normal Vegas crowd, nothing crazy like the apparent circus of the NCAAT. Was able to snag seats (with no reservation, cost, etc) at every book we ducked into. Best basketball gambol weekend of the year too, imo.

Fly out Thursday early, home Sunday in time for the Selection Show. If you're completely over standing in shoulder-to-shoulder ******** bars for 6-8 hours at a time, it's perfect. (And it's a cheaper weekend than Nashville :100points: )

-Sweet on the NOLA flight. May have to get down to see my buddy soon. SDF slowly adding cheap directs here & there - that's Denver, Austin, and NOLA this year already, in addition to the extra Vegas flight through Allegiant.

-Forgot to mention it, but the Aziz show at the Palace was awesome. Show is essentially based around how terrible people are in 2018, equal **** given to all parties - funniest dude going now, imo. Bar Vetti was dope too, definitely recommend for simple fresh pasta, cool vibe, & a great drink list.

-Total Wine is really sweet, the St. Matthews location opened last week. We've had one here for a few years, but it's all the way out at the Summit, which I never visited.

-Stoops in stubborn defense mode is never a good thing. Really pisses me off when he's like that.

-I've watched a lot of college basketball -- every team I've seen looks better than us. If you have any questions, shoot me a DM.

-What's the tailgate theme for Saturday?

Yep, my last experience there. Week after the Jason Watts accident. Team came out like they had just been to a funeral. Which of course, they had.

Just an awful experience.

-BBdK, Vegas that weekend every once in a while isn't a terrible idea, but as you know, we now have a child and want him to know the excitement of the SEC Tourney, even if it's in Nashville. And once that week arrives each year, no matter the fact that it's in Nashville, I don't wanna miss it.

For what it's worth, I told my coworker (who is 30) about the SEC Tourney being in Nashville til infinity and she was super excited about it... she doesn't know the excitement of other locales.

-Tailgate theme for Saturday is "brunch with my besties".

-I also didn't realize Baker was suspended until the story last night.

^ I get it. Not saying I'm never going to go again, I'm sure I'll hit plenty of them during that ridiculous timeframe.

Almost feel guilty "hating" Nashville, b/c I really don't -- have had some of my best weekends ever there, and it can be a blast in doses - But damn, it really is out of control right now, and I'm just over it for awhile. I'll be 50 touching 6 the next time we even have a chance at ATL or somewhere different. :cry: Century Cat will be 90.

My worst road game experience ever was that 1998 game in Knoxville.

Got there and the row was completely filled and there were still 4 of us that had seats in that row. Everyone in the row also had seats there. No normal person could have sit in those seats. I had heard that UT upped their capacity by 5k by just moving the stickers of the seats. Ending up in the top row aisle crammed together. Drunk and mad.

That place is an absolute dump.

That crowd was pretty nasty too. #1 Tennessee = ARROGANT, HATEFUL, SPITEFUL, RABID. Our first possession we had no chance. The noise was crazy loud...we had trouble even snapping the ball.

I stood in the aisle the whole game b/c of the seat crunch.

My ultimate problem with MARK is that his ideal football win is 3-0 on a last second field goal. I mean, this is pretty much him:

I don't care if we win 2-0. MARK's biggest problem is that he just doesn't have whatever that quality is to get entirely over the hump. In order to do that you can't leave WRs unmarked (once, let alone twice in the same game), put 10 men on the field regularly, be unwilling to modify a gameplan, and have absolutely no clock management skills.

Being a hardass defensive guy with a good recruiting staff can take you a long way (and maybe to the best you can reasonably do at UK), but it has a built-in ceiling. Basically, accept that 9 wins is probably what Mark has in the tank for his best performance and hope his down years are still 7-5

I'm as frustrated as you, but If we *do* finish 9-3, that will be our best record (and best bowl) in my lifetime - that has to be over some kind of 'hump'. Smash Louisville and win the bowl game and the vibe will be much different, and we'll be able to look back on this season pretty nicely, imo.

Next year will be the telling thing -- do we fall right back to a the typical 6-6 type squad, or keep it going and compete in the East (give ourselves a legitimate chance) again?
