-Canned my first batch of banana peppers today. Hopefully turns out delicious as my banana pepper plants are producing a lot of peppers.

Tomatoes starting to come in as well which makes me excited except it’s like no one eats them down here. What the hell is wrong with people? Adults that don’t like tomatoes probably also order chicken tenders with ranch on the regular.

Cucumbers coming soon which I plan on pickling a bunch of different flavored ways.

Cloned a basil plant which pretty cool. Just waiting for the full legalization of marijuana to really put my talents to use. Getting close in Florida.

-Seasonal work; I remember someone on here saying 6 years ago, “enjoy your seasonally work.” as a negative. Well, I WISH it was seasonal but the two places I work are constantly busy.

4 years ago we got to relax during the hot months of August and September and get the island back to ourselves with no tourist. Last few years it’s just nonstop, money is good but not cool. Everyone needs a few slow months at work plus I make plenty enough to have a few weeks/couple months where I don’t care if I walk out with little or nothing. Thanks a lot Obama/Trump or whoever is supposedly responsible for the economy.

-Added a freezer to my home gym for ice baths. Has a temperature regulator so it never freezes and never gets warm. Pretty neat little addition that cost me $0 as a friend gave me the ice chest. Only gym in Key West with one.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

-My attempt at getting of politics in here. Fire away.

Time is money, but money is not time.
People forget that.

Get back to me after loge cheese pairings are released. A nice brie should bring out the Tuckers and Anne-Maries.

I’ve got friends in Destin that work in the service industry, but bemoan the tourists...

I mean, bitching about the thing that butters your bread is just kinda dumb, imo.

I worked in the Destin service industry for a summer and I can assure you that your friends are in fact dimwitted.

Only 46k tickets sold so far for Saturday.... yikes.

If there was only a mechanism to sell more tickets when people aren’t buying them. Hmmm...

Any and all statements re: ticket sales should now be qualified with “at current exorbitant prices”. Taking my family to the game and sitting in corner lowers would cost $350. Add gas, food and parking and I’m quickly up to $500. I don’t think that’s sustainable for Billy Joe Wildcat.

Following my gambol rules I posted here just a few weeks back, I’m up just short of 2K. Hope Gyero took my advice(I seriously doubt it tho)

Just got into a heated exchange with my boss. A few MFer’s and a “you f’n nerd” later and I think I’ll take the rest of the week off, need the time anyway.

Found a place to rent short term while I sell our house. Listing gets posted Oct 1 and hopefully doesn’t get into the holidays. All my other handshake deals etc fell through, but at least I tried it the Bullitt county way.

The house we are moving into is perfect square footage wise to what we are looking for(or probably build now) and we need double our current furniture. Should be a blast, but I did run into a guy that hooked me up on some appliances. I really thought rentals had them, and had been wanting to leave ours behind anyway.

My boat gets a new wrap across the panels Oct 4. Colors picked out and everything is set. Tan/Marroon leather seats but only tan on the exterior panels and the wife wants maroon. Whatever!

Ponderosa for lunch

My wild child is really doing well this season at soccer, which has made my decision to not coach an all around winner. He is starting to handle instruction from others better and it has helped in his behavior at school too.

It seems to have regained popularity recently in the blue collar community so I know the wokes are certainly alarmed but we played this on road trips as kids. My guys play it constantly.

Ponderosa for lunch is about as krazy as it gets for a mid-randoms food drop.

-Service industry ***** secretly loathing the tourists that keep them employed isn't anything new, and is a worldwide phenomenon. That's fine, my only issue is with the ones that don't even attempt to mask their annoyance.

Background on why the OK sign is suddenly a hot topic for those that don't know - this woman was attacked relentlessly by one side and accused of being a white power racist because her fingers made an OK sign after scratching her elbow. This happened during the first day of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. Turns out she is a Hispanic Jew:

/last post on the subject

Bet SAE "liked" that tweet

-i agree i guess...assuming they were being cheeky, they shouldn't have done so.

-the point remains that folks are apoplectic over *nothing*...and it's national news.

I’m not quitting. Actually already tried and they transferred me for 4 months, and as I proceeded to land accts and make way at a different location my old location really dropped in sales. So they offered me a salary that I couldn’t make less(even though I’m 100% commission) on a bi weekly check just to come back here. Then we hit quotas 3 of the next 5 months which helped him not me.

Once again this guy is in the wrong and the people that work next to me want me to elevate the issues past him, but I’m not one for getting people fired.

.

Had to tuck that in somewhere, it’s certainly not something to brag about.

SAE is pretty quick to rush to judgment with little to no information, it’s been well documented.

The ONLY thing in this post I believe is that you went to ponderosa for lunch.

When I guit my last job, I wouldn’t cite a number to stay and eventually threw out 3x my salary plus six month severance... and was called a “greedy mf-er.”

3X isn’t greedy! A guy who worked for us - trust fund kid from MIT who didn’t need the job - asked for $18M to stay. Framed it up as a reasonable request, explained his logic, and ended it with a “and take all the time you need to think it over.”

-Game has been around since I was in grade school and I assume before that. Been all over social media the last couple years. That is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see what who the slugbug game is going to offend.

-Eggs, prosciutto, cheese, salsa, spinach = wodie lunch on the reg

-Been saying f*ck it and eating pasta, OMG carbs. Just too damn good to leave out of life.

-Stumbled on The Book With No Pictures by BJ Novak(Intern from The Office). G absolutely loves it and I have to say it's pretty solid.

-Absolutely pleasant experience at my local Fedex branch. Waited in a long line, the fedex guy checked on the people in line twice and apologized for the wait, he was busting his ***, when I got up there I needed a box/bubble/tape, he took care of it all for me and when I went to pay for the box and he waived it. So basically 100% the exact opposite of a routine visit to our absolute money pit USPS branch.

-Been pondering on how classic music from the 1950-70's will hold up over the next 30 years. Feel like some of those artists, songs and albums are timeless but when is the forgotten point?

I give it a 1% chance of even being true.. but Krazy, if you’re up that much in gambol... with your history of giving your wife a spending allowance and being in a commission/sales based job, with kids, you’re betting way too much for where you are in life. It won’t end well. Take your profits now and cut your bet size. Saying this as someone who views you as an ignorant immature annoying younger online brother... you’re awful yet endearing.

Anth, Dave hasn’t been at the Duke rd post office the last several times I’ve been. Think he’s got some health issues. I wish him the best of luck and health... I just also hope I never have to engage in another transaction with him.

I’m sure you never ***** about ****** uncooperative patients either, I’ve worked in that field too remember. It’s not the people as much as the ignorant questions and constant neediness that drives us crazy. I love having fun with customers but Joe Hillbilly answering my what can I get for you today with, “How bout a fist full of $50s”, “the winning lottery numbers” etc like their the first person to say it to someone.

Or I’ll take a pain in the *** (half pina half rum runner) but I’ve already got one right here! (Points to significant other). Listen folks, I’ll tell the jokes here. You sit back and enjoy yourself.

People literally ask things like, “we missed the sunset, when is the next one?(VERY common), “does key west really float?”, “if that’s the Atlantic and that’s the gulf which side is the pacific on?”, “Do you live here?”, “how do you get to the water?” (Pick any direction and walk). The constant bombardment of that type of stuff wears on you.

There’s a reason people call them tourons, they get to a new place and act like they’ve never stepped foot outside before today. Just because you’re tipping me doesn’t mean you can act like a stupid *******.

I can only imagine Destin or places like Panama City, Daytona, Myrtle Beach, etc. The cheaper and easier to get to, the dumber and poorer people are. TS.
