Taggart, on the other hand, inherited a decent situation. Seven wins(albeit weak wins) and strong talent. THAT'S a first-year coach who deserves every bit of criticism he's getting.

I'm trying to understand the justification for hiring Taggart. His signature win in his entire career was over a 6-6 South Carolina team in the Birmingham Bowl. I don't think he's ever beaten a ranked opponent. He's worse than Billy G, although undoubtedly a better person.

-20 lbs of pork tenderloin turned out pretty solid. 225 at about an hour and a half until 145 IT with apple smoke and a coffee rub. Very quick sear. Lot of rave reviews (and leftovers omg).

-Randomly heard The Price is Right theme song yesterday and was taken right back to my early years spent running around the house on a weekday while my Mom went about housework. Stopped me in my tracks.

-Good W Saturday. Took care of business. No injuries. Got a lot of younger guys game reps. Being able to do that a couple times a year is a big deal for the program IMO.

-Clearly, a win this weekend would be Stoops' biggest at Commonwealth: 4-0 (2-0), Top 25, etc. Need to capitalize on one of these night game atmospheres eventually. Will keep you posted.

-I'd love to see a White-Blue-Blue combo at night. Suspect we'll get the CHROME though, which needs to be retired IMO. I'd rather have an ANTHRACITE alternative lid if we must go extreme.

-Butchertown Pizza Hall is solid. Cool little spot, too. Worth a trip.

-Quit Fantasy Football 4 years ago and have not missed anything about it. Ever.

Not to be Debbie Downer but I still keep thinking about that poor kid on Scoville. Prayers out to that whole family and all affected, even the student. As a dad of a 4 YO kid, I couldn't imagine...

With that said, you can bet your *** you'll see a helluva measured 'response' on all the alcohol in and around CWS now. They locked down the place when some old hen got a toe ran over by a motorized cooler a couple years back. Cops will be in SS mode hunting every tailgate.

On a related note... I mean, after watching my 800th haha clip of trashy NFL fan duking it out in the stands drunk off their ***, I'm not so sure I want alcohol sold inside my stadium. Call me a gash IDGAF... but would not be a place I envision taking my girls once the Miller Lite starts flowing with the stale pretzels.

UK's problem is that a student felt the need to drive a car at 2:00 during a home football game. Left me wondering if this was perhaps a failed social experiment.

http://www.kykernel.com/news/a-look...cle_eac15a1c-adf4-11e8-a824-0b48ca6dd2c3.html

On one end of the field, any registered student organizations can reserve a space a few weeks prior to the game and invite a maximum of 250 guests; a list of those guests must be submitted to UK, Kehrwald said. When those guests arrive, they’ll receive wristbands, and if the guest is over 21, they can bring six, 12-ounce cans of beer or equivalent in wine coolers or other spirits. No glass bottles or containers will be permitted. The space will open four hours and 30 minutes before kickoff, and will close a half-hour before kickoff for cleanup.

^It's my worst nightmare and way too close to home, literally. The Corner of Scoville and Cooper we cross daily in the same spot. 50 yards from our front door. So f*cked up, if he hits the dad or mom and they're most likely jacked up but survive. They leave the game 30 seconds later and everyone is good this morning. Dumbass gets in a uber and his life goes on as a normal 18 year old college kid. The lady 3-4 houses down, a mom of young kids, performed CPR.

Changing subjects, what about my Bayou Bengals? 2 top 10 wins and one on the road.

-I'm not wearing white to the game, period. F*CK OFF. Every single time we try this we lose.

-Glorious day at Commonwealth. Spent the last 1.5 Qtrs with pops and about 15 other people in the entire stadium checking in on the young guys getting some reps and slugging back cold domestos.

-Tulip on Friday with the fam. If you can get around the Chevy Chase elite at the bar the place delivers a fine meal every time and comfortable with youngins.

-Controversial take but with my mastery of the Anova I don't really see the need in smoking things any longer. Brisket or ribs would be the only exception and I'm told those turn out great as well. I'm basically using the BGE to finish only.

Is the kid still in the hospital? What condition? Haven’t seen any updates since Saturday and if they’re out there then I missed em.

Recent history vs MSU, maybe the most annoying thing about playing them was how often they convert on 3rd and medium, using basically a power forward sized quarterback to shed one tackle and fall ahead for a 4-5 yard gain and keep the chains moving. Its GD demoralizing.

Tough matchup for our defensive line- gonna need our own offense to put together some long drives and eat clock. Benny/Terry/Rose rinse repeat.

Appears there is some bad blood between UL fans and the WKU band... keep an eye on that rivalry as it continues to develop.

Sorry the PUMA, this is "Malik's Louisville"

Spent a good bit of time watching people rescuing dogs (and some people) from floodwaters in the Carolinas. Thought I heard a few victims, as they gasped for air and struggled through the 9 feet of rushing water, yelling out that "Rogue said it was just going to be a little rain storm"

Probably going to buy a Highlander. The 4 cylinder is a little less expensive...any reason I should stay away from that and go with the 6?

* I was expecting MSU to be favored, but was not expecting the line to be 10½. Goodness. The S&P+ ratings (CFB's KenPom) have MSU at #5, but UK at #22. Still think the Cats are undervalued by Vegas, but State is good.

* Bama -26 over a very good A&M team is stupid... and completely justified. Not sure why anybody would bet against the Tide at this point.

* Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, OSU. Which one won't make the playoff?

* When's the last time we had a home game teed up like this, and actually won? UF 2017, Georgia 2016, UofL 2015, UF 2015, Auburn 2015, MSU 2014, etc. Change the game, Mark.

* Louisville is terrible, and it's glorious.

* Split MSU/USC, split UT/Mizzou, lose to A&M/UGA, beat Vandy/MTSU. The difference between 7 and 8 regular season wins comes down to whether we can handle #BirdGang at noon on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

* On pins and needles waiting to find out where Kyle Tucker is going to work. Anticipation is killing me. :scream:

I don’t feel bad for the driver - at all. Hope he rots. It’s 2018 - Uber’s are everywhere. It’s not like the kid ran out in front of him; he was so effed up he ran off the road. Screw him.

It’s one thing to drive buzzed at 2 AM where the only other people out are typically in the same situation. It’s another to get blasted in the afternoon and then drive.

And the UK student govt saying they need to provide more options - totally dodges the fact that there are a ton options for not driving drunk. To hell with them too.

All of this is Supposedly/Reportedly: he was a fraternity pledge and some actives ordered him to get in his car and come pick them up. He blew a .03, i.e., probably had 1 beer. Wasn't drunk but may have been texting. The DUI for a .03 is because he was underage (18, a freshman), it's automatic.

Just a horrible, horrible thing all the way around. But if all of the above is accurate, I feel for everyone involved. Many lives ruined in the blink of an eye.

That was....odd and inconsiderate as hell. Idk if Uk released other statements but that's the first one I saw....but the statement I saw was UK saying they will be providing more transportation options, not UK student gov asking for more.

That was about as stupid as Anth saying this was a tragic incident for everyone involved.

Hope somebody sues UK just because that stupid statement they sent out. I mean, where did this drunk *** kid come from? Was he getting blasted on your precious lil no alcohol campus, or what's going on here? They should have apologized and told everybody that student is kicked out of school for breaking rules and potentially killing a kid...which I assume he is done at UK.

I can't speak for newer model Highlanders, their 4 cylinders may be great; but, I've had a couple 4 cylinders in the past and the biggest problem is if you accidentally pull out in front of someone. It's easy to misjudge and then not have enough oomph to get out of the way without the car behind you slamming on their brakes.

So, if it's for you then I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if your wife is going to be hauling the kids around, I'd definitely take another test drive and see if the acceleration is enough to get her out of a tight spot.

In regards to my earlier post, I'd be much more sympathetic to the driver if it is one beer and a 0.03. I heard earlier he veered off the road, which is more of the 0.18 or more type of drunk. However, if it's texting and driving then I'm sort of back to my original view. You just can't do it. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call.

Its been a bit since I've looked at the DUI laws but if what CC says is true, the guy would have been presumptively not under the influence if he was 21 or older, IIRC.

To add on to Anth's point, I'm very lucky I've never had anything bad happen because of texting while driving. I try not to do it much, but it happens, and all it takes is one brief moment.

One time that always stuck with me. It was at night, in town, and I had just finished sending a text to someone. Not 3 seconds after I sent it some lady was walking across the road (not in a crosswalk) in front of me. She was black, dressed in black, and it was nighttime. If I had been texting just 3-5 seconds longer, there's not a doubt in my mind I would've hit her and killed her.

It's f*cked up.

Is that the Shaw logo?

Very random and weird... not only for the location but also the choice.
