Chad... I wanted to get away. It seemed like most of my graduating class was going to UK and it felt like I was in Lexington every other weekend for football and basketball games growing up.
Ended up choosing between Bama, Charleston and Hampden Sydney. The old man nixed Bama bc he said if I was going to go to a big, state school it had to be UK. Took a visit to Hampden Sydney, a small all boy’s private school in Farmville, VA on a Thursday in February. It was rainy & 47 degrees.
The next morning we got up early & drove to Charleston. We get there & park close to campus on King St. It’s Friday afternoon... I get out of the car & it’s 80 degrees & sunny with girls seemingly everywhere ( the ratio was bonkers back in the late 90’s). At that point I knew exactly where I wanted to go to school.

What's the deal with Hampden Sydney? Had a few guys from the class above mine in HS go there. Just never got the attraction with that place. As you said, all men's college? No thanks.

I'm amazed a reporter can seek out another reporter's source, claim to know it and even publish it without a shred of evidence to support it.
Not saying it isn't accurate but it's certainly bizarre what passes as facts in the tOSU story these days and really, almost all of the information gathered is text messages, interviews over text message and a lot of hearsay.
And the entire reason Tom Herman supposedly dropped the dime on Meyer is because he lost a recruit. That doesn't pass the smell test. But if that is what happened, talk about a jilted ***** move.

I have ignored (without even trying) everything Cam Mills has said or done since the 1998 title game. So there's no way he's on my hated UK player list.
If I had one of those right now, it would consist of Rex Chapman and Desmond Alison (although it's hard to hate a dead guy).

Guys, I feel like our most hated white player SHOULD be the guy who got arrested for sexual abuse of a minor. JMO, of course.

If we're being honest, what he did to the game of basketball on the court was way, way worse than what he got arrested for.
My cousin from Atlanta went there so my parents wanted me to check it out. Essentially it seemed like a bunch of dudes whose parents wanted them to go to W&L, UNC or UVA but didn’t have the grades or the scores. Heavy drug scene. No chicks. No thanks.

My roommate was smartly friends with Gus Jacobs and stayed on his good side at all times.
There has to be more to that story like maybe your roommate changed his name to "Buddy Pee" while he was bowling thus the proper response would be a punch to the face.

Got out of the habit of reading/refreshing this page every day which was probably a necessary break. If we are being honest, there are quite a few others that need to look into taking a necessary break from GYERO once we kickoff in a couple weeks. Someone needs to call NW50 to guard the door of this place.
* Nantucket trip was dope. Will look into going back next summer as well. 75 degrees was a nice reprieve from the DEVIL SUN Alabama heat.
* Rex's social justice mode seems a bit forced. JMO.
* While watching PGA coverage on TV saturday, my dad decided he wanted to go to the final round in person. Got up early yesterday, drove to St Louis, walked the course once and got a nice spot with a view at 18. Drove home after it was over. I asked him why he decided to go, "Well I didnt really have anything else going on."

Good point - arguably the most important white guy we've had since Kyle Macy (perhaps further), given that we absolutely do not win a title without him.
