I mean, it’s been pretty much confirmed now that Urban Meyer, and his wife, knew about a psycho wife beater on his staff, covered it up, and convinced the woman on at least one occasion to drop charges. In a just world both of the Meyers would lose their jobs and be pilloried.

Several years ago some people we know were going through a rough patch (i.e. banging other people who were not their spouse). They watched this movie and suddenly they were inspired to love again (not each other apparently).

They raved and raved about how inspirational it was and we had to watch it etc... I reluctantly agreed, and just as I 100% knew, it was the worst pile of **** in movie history. I was embarrassed to be watching it, and embarrassed for them that they were so captivated by it.

Of course, those friends got divorced very soon after they vehemently endorsed this piece of ****. And they are both much happier now.

Well known that slow white kids from upper middle class families are very likely to get CTE from playing youth football and riding the pine for a few years in high school. Everyone in this thread should be very concerned

I think if you are denying that CTE is a thing, then you should probably just keep smoking and riding around with no seatbelt.

BUT, I love football. Obviously, I am not alone & many of us love football. (Captain Obvious)
I am also the grandmother of two boys who might want to play football.

Serious question. Is there any really feasible way to make football safer for those who can really play and go far with it, and still preserve it as a game worth watching? If you want to bash me and make fun, knock yourself out, )) but I would love to hear some real dialogue about what might be a possible solution.
