One aspect of the Papa J's story I do find funny is what the people at KFC have to be thinking. Imagine if you are the head of public relations or marketing over there. Out of the clear blue you've got Papa John claiming that your mascot - who which you've run millions upon millions of advertising dollars through - dropped the N-word with flagrant disregard. There's no way to prove he did or didn't, but it does slightly tarnish your brand. It's like a random drive-by.

I’ve heard young black men call white people the n-word and it blows my mind every time. *Cue the Larry David confused .gif* But there’s no way in the world I’d say it. Never. Never ever. Ever. That way no one can ever “mis-quote” you or take what you’ve said out of “context.” Just . . . never.

Ever.

Pretty much the final word on this subject. Only bad things can happen if you're white and have that word in your mouth. No matter the context, no matter the company.

Hard to believe that some white folks have not yet grasped this.

Respectfully disagree. Context (as well as privacy and impact) absolutely must matter and it really should be our job as rational citizens to protect that. Letting the social media mob collect one scalp after another is not good for our society.

People say stupid things every day. Schnatter said the n-word during a private meeting and in a context that was not racist. Within a day they're already taking his name off of buildings. This is insanity.

Talk all the **** you want about Jessamine County, but we're about to host a PGA Tour event next week.

Just say "the N-word" when referring to the N-word. It isn't hard.

Stomach bug this week.

If your a big shot public figure and dumb enough to say n***** in a conference call business meeting you deserve exactly what you get.

I don’t care if he’s racist or not, it was objectively stupid given the current climate and he’s a f*cking idiot for saying it. Some people need to be knocked down a peg or two and eat a little ****. I don’t feel the least bit sorry for him.

Yeah...not just a public figure, just don't say the n-word, ever. It's not hard. It shouldn't even be a thought in your head to drop it.

Mark Fuhrman wasn't a public figure and got caught dropping it 30 years ago...wrong then and wrong now. You 100% deserve to lose your career if you drop that word.

How is this even a thing still?

I'm not saying that there isn't SOME contextual difference in saying the word as part of a third person anecdote and blatantly CALLING someone that. Namely that the former will get you fired and the latter will likely, and deservedly, get your *** kicked and THEN fired.

But you're an idiot either way.

Just steer clear of it, PERIOD.

One of the UK fans brought up something interesting on the main board about Jurich or Pitino getting this info leaked. At first, it seemed ridiculous but the more I think about it, that's pretty much what you would expect from one of those two snakes. This conference call was a couple months back. But yesterday is the first day anyone made it public that they were offended? In today's 24/7 news/social media cycle, that drops the moment someone is going to get coffee after the call.

Maybe I just want that to be true. Either way, Papa John is a creeper and will now be out of the picture at both UL and the company he started. I believe I read yesterday he still has naming rights to the stadium so maybe he's vindictive towards UL. Another hope I have.

As much fun as it is to clown Pitino and Jurich, they really have nothing to do with that idiot dropping an N Bomb on a Papa Johns conference call.

Fun times grabbing a bison burger with Strokin last night. Ted’s is awesome.

Stormy Daniels arrested in Ohio for touching someone on stage while nude that’s not a family member, what a weird state.

Probably not anythi
Sacha Baron Cohen got Sarah Palin to fly across the country for a sit down interview, as he disguised himself as a wheelchair bound veteran.

:joy::joy::joy:

She’s predictably pissed off, and I’m sure many vets are too. Good. Can’t wait to watch it. That guy is magical.

(someone feel free to link the story)

He apparently also got Bernie Sanders, Joe Walsh and Dick Cheney. I'm going to have to sign up for Showtime now.

Given his unbelievably long history of pulling pranks like this on unsuspecting people, if, in the year 2018, you get tricked by Sacha Baron Cohen, getting pissed off, trying to earn sympathy from the public, and making him out to be an insensitive jerk just simply doesn't work.

You got absolutely owned. Admit it, laugh, and move on.

If I’m being honest a joint acct is the way to go. Having separate accts branched off of that in which you both get “allowance” for stupid **** neither of you want to be held accountable for is fair.

I think it's a bit over-the-top but it's going to put Louisville in a no-win situation.

If they keep the signage then the narrative is that Louisville "celebrates diversity" except in cases where a known racist donates a lot of money to them.

If they remove the signage, they piss off their largest donor and I'm not sure how many are going to line up to fill the void given the shame and embarrassment of their athletic department the last several years.

For UK fans, it's shoving a giant karma dick up their asses for what we've heard about Rupp for so many years.

Like I said, it just keeps getting better.

In 2018, being a racist seems to be worse than being a murderer, rapist, or drug dealer. You can serve prison time for those, and people will say you paid your debt to society.

Utter a racist comment, burn your whole world down and forever branded.

Wait a minute... you think people who went to prison for murder or rape aren't "forever branded" when they get out?

Not to mention, they, you know, went to prison.

I think that is probably a bit more severe than having your name taken off of a stadium or being removed from a board of trustees.

I can't imagine the group atmosphere in prison is that great. Probably can't even send your steak back.

I think being a racist is a personality flaw. It makes you a giant *******.

But not on the scale of murderers and rapists.

That’s my point.

That's why you go to prison for murder and rape.

When it comes to saying the N-word/other racist **** - play ****** games, win ****** prizes. Not that hard to keep that word from leaving your mouth. Yet so many fail at it. I wonder why?
