Always partial to drawing and quartering:

To be hanged, drawn and quartered was from 1352 a statutory penalty in England for men convicted of high treason, although the ritual was first recorded during the reign of King Henry III (1216–1272). Convicts were fastened to a hurdle, or wooden panel, and drawn by horse to the place of execution, where they were hanged (almost to the point of death), emasculated, disembowelled, beheaded, and quartered (chopped into four pieces). Their remains were often displayed in prominent places across the country, such as London Bridge.

:joy: It’s obvious Centch has been wanting to talk some Charm for awhile now. Glad he’s gotten his opportunity.

Richie would have fit in well with the cast circa 2007.

[laughing] Yes, I actually watched it Season 1, somewhat in Season 2, completely dropped it last year, and my wife continued to watch it.

Hadn't seen or even thought of it in more than a year. So last Thursday she wasn't home, I'm flipping channels and it was set to record so bam there it was, and nothing else on. Now I think I'm hooked back in. Ashley

Amazingly, after missing an entire season+, it wasn't hard to catch up and figure out exactly what was going on. o_O

Look, if youre gonna high treason me, i'm gonna draw and quarter you. Just how it is.

Chelsea. Yes. Deserves better than Austen for sure.

Spieth, Fowler and Thomas were all in town this last weekend for Smylie Kaufman's wedding (over in W&W's hood). It honestly looked just like most of our weddings did. Complete **** show, white-guy dancing, liquor spills on tuxedo shirts, etc... aside from SK's entire list of groomsmen being multi-millionaire famous golfers. They also played a run of the mill local public course Friday morning in what looked like an 11-some.

-Regarding Terry and Hoak, play em both IMO. Doesn't need to be a 50/50 deal, but if each is actually effective at their strength, that's a lot to prepare for. Gran's system is pretty adaptable for either QB type. Good with either, though. Candidly, the line, Benny and CJ should make life a bit easier for whomever gets the nod.
-Think the lass is a lurker. After a few drinks Saturday night... :cool2:.

-Old house is finally closing sometime in the next two weeks. Pretty big relief. Listed that sumbitch December 15th... Want time to slow down for a bit? Own two personal residences... feels like an eternity.

-Yeah, need to find out who has the chops when the lights are on. We just saw this with Barker/Johnson.

-Congrats on the sex.

-It's unbelievable. Add in a complete top to bottom renovation and pack rat wife. :weary: Praying within 8 weeks I'm over all of it. Granted I was thinking the same thing about 6 weeks ago.

Chad, we should be arriving to SkyBar sometime around 12:30AM Saturday Night. If you guys are still out and about, hit me up and Id love to buy you a few JagerBombs. Enjoy your bachelor party and make sure Boat doesn't kill the stripper.
Jagerbombs? Really? Don't you ever change Huber. I assume this is for your birthday?

Bye Wendell Carter.
Are the Duke message boards melting down, over this revolving door, telling K to go coach the Lakers?

Congrats on living in the same city as Smylie Kaufman's wedding. Impressive.

Was Clark peering over the fence or something, or just stalking online? What was everyone's favorite hors d'oeuvre?

We had Muhammed Ali's funeral here, was pretty dope having that a few streets over.

Jagerbombs, Titos & Redbull, Basil and Ginger, Country Boy Cougar Bait. And yes, headed downtown for Birthday after party spot Saturday. Either Skybar, Parlay, or Belles. Depends on the crowd going out and how deep re are rolling.

That's really all I got in my bag of tricks Anth. Ive given up even attempting to try to be as cool as you buddy. Although I do hope I get to run into you guys while you're burning down Lexington for Chads big night.

Thinking about blowing this up pretty big and hanging it over my fireplace. If a better golf photo exists, I'd like to see it.

-Basil and ginger? Come on man. Stick with the well for that mix. Geez Hubes. I'll do some drinking with you though. Been a really long time since I've been out to the Lex bars.

-BBdk and I have already been plotting our old man escape plan. I give it a 32% chance of it happening.

-In 2 weeks lots famous people will be in the south end of Louisville standing around a dirt circle looking at horses. Pretty neat.

SW flights (50 minutes) will be $98 RT if you catch a sale. That's actually a relatively easy up & back unlike NOLA last year.

Also, Duke in Indy in November to open. I have a Room at Hyatt w/ 2 doubles booked you're welcome to crash. [cheers]

I'd rather play UNC but I thought it was Ohio State's turn in the rotation for that thing.

I've read that a lot of tour pros won't putt out on 18 or will do something else on local munis so they don't get the course record. Essentially respecting the locals by not shitting on them, I guess.

I've also read that Chris DiMarco used to go around to a ton of little courses and do his damndest to break the course record at each of them. I've also heard he's an *******, outside of that.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...3175288/duke-kentucky-limits-one-done-rosters

Gasaway's article from earlier today:

Veterans are increasingly hard to find on recent rosters led by Mike Krzyzewski and John Calipari. In the one-and-done era, no team has ever earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament with a roster that returned fewer than 30 percent of its possession minutes from the previous season. Duke has now come in under that 30 percent threshold in two of the last three seasons. Kentucky has done so every year since its undefeated run to the 2015 Final Four.

Very young Duke and Kentucky teams can, of course, still be very good. But the best teams that these programs have produced over the last decade have, without exception, been older. Whether your preferred example is the Kentucky team that won the 2012 national title (while returning 53 percent of its possession minutes from the previous season), the Duke team that won it all in the 2015 tournament (42 percent) or even the UK team that came up just short that same season (60), these were all rosters that were more experienced than what we've seen from the two programs over the last three seasons.

------------------------------

Carter's departure takes Duke to roughly 17%.

Diallo's departure takes UK to about 48%, assuming everybody else (PJ, Vanderbilt, Wenyen & Green) all comes back.

LOCK THE DOOR, JOHN.

Whirlwind of a weekend. Flew out to Phoenix Friday night for med school buddy wedding. Haven't seen these guys in forever, was great catching up.

Sunny and 80's, why the hell did I leave. Did crush some magical sushi, the Red Storm roll from Sakana is still the GOAT.

Excited for Chad and Huberfest. Odds Anth is home by midnight-90%.

High of 62 for Saturday... hope Chad can wear some vintage flannel.

My love of Cal is going to take a big hit if he doesn’t bring back at least 3 of those dudes.

-Always thought it would be cool if a pro golfer showed up at a muni course, dropped a 56 or 58 for a course record. Be cool for it to read Phil Mickelson-56 instead of David Jasper at Seneca.

Eh. That article was utter ******** but the key issue for Cal right now is whether he can figure a system that keeps good kids as upperclassmen while still delivering on the promise to get elite talent to the NBA ASAP.

The fact that PJ Washington apparently believes he's a draft pick is prima facie evidence that Calipari f***ed the f** up.

So the article -- the premise of which is that it's vitally important to have upperclassmen on your roster -- is "utter ********," while the key issue for Calipari is that he... have upperclassmen on his roster.

******** in that it lacks nuance as to the problem, which is a second order problem.

UK and Duke went all-in on getting one and dones and neither program seems to have a clue what to do if the kids they sell on being one and dones don't make it.

The premise of the article is easy. The solution is hard. What do Cal or K do when the warts of the one and done system appear? That's a hard problem.
