Veritcal jump in basketball is quickly becoming the combine 40 in football.

Means absolutely nothing.

Disagree... I think there’s some sort of minimum threshold where they know if you’re under it that you’re gonna struggle. That was the thing with Briscoe - he couldn’t jump over a phone book. It was obvious he wasn’t going to have a pro career unless he stole Steph Curry’s jumper.

I think his point is that both tests can singlehandedly make a player who's otherwise undeserving of the attention. A forty time or a vertical jump that's off the charts makes every scout cream their khakis even if the player can't do anything else competently. (See Jones, Matt for football, or Diallo, Hami for basketball.)

Fair. Perhaps Diallo’s 1.3 Air Balls per game stat nullifies that, even among the biggest vertical loving honks.

Why would a member of the media block someone from viewing their tweets? Especially when subscribers/viewers is probably THE most important part of the business.

So no B12G!! team is going to play a single game between now and 3/15, 3/16? Why is their tournament ending this week? I'm more of a high school basketball so I may have missed the news about this one. Is it because of The Garden's schedule or what? Very strange to me for a power conference to get through their tourney the same weekend the OVC does.

If that kid, of all people, can suck it up and realize he's nowhere near the prospect he was once thought to be, Hami can.

He won't.

He almost left last year, after not playing a single second. Some idiot GM will be enamored with his "athleticism" (never mind that he really isn't all that good at playing basketball) and promise to take him in the first round.

He's gone. It's why he came to Kentucky.

Just so we're clear, mad at Cal:

-when he recruited too well -> Swinging door, 1 and done, NBA farm team.
-doesn't recruit mid-tier guys that need to develop
-gets beat on the trail for top 10 guys
-allows questionable kids leave early even though we wore Roy, K, Pitino and Crean out over this exact topic.
-promoting NBA draft success and quickest way to the league

Hard for Tiger and Phil to compete with these young bombers.

That is actually quite accurate. Great win yesterday for Phil, but neither he, nor Tiger, had won on the PGA Tour in 5 years before Sunday. And Tiger is currently ranked #388 in the world.

So they are, indeed, having a tough time competing with the young bombers.

^Yup. Be out there watching them pound the Norse on Wednesday, assuming it's not snowing. They've also been playing without our best offensive weapon.

-Mitch needs to sub out the Nick retain/pay increase to Tomma now that he's freelance. Lock that dude down.

-Sous vide bone in chicken breast last night. Perfection. Per typ.

-Get to hang with the college roomies this weekend. Been a few years since that happened.

-Tiger and Phil are going to win this bet.

-Vando with a come back to earth game. No fouls, big guy.

-Everyone complains about block/charge but rebounding fouls have become just as bad. Go up for a board, flail like a little *****, foul.

I mean the way I watch college basketball now:

1. Watch missed shot
2. Watch rebound
3. Wait for whistle
4. If no whistle, be pleasantly surprised and move to next play

I think the players are catching it to, and it affects pace of play for young players used to actually being able to play the game.

I'm not sure there's ever, in my lifetime, been a legit FIGHT during a Kentucky basketball game. And yet, here we are -- putting the world on hold for 15 minutes so the jagoff refs can go to the monitors every time a player raises his elbow over his shoulder. Multiple times a game. You know, to "clean the game up," or whatever their stupid *** excuse is.

Is there not a single person in a position of power that actually gives a rip about the viewer experience? Between that and the charge call, the game is seriously struggling. Props to Dakich for roasting those clowns during the Ole Miss game.

That's a fun spin.

Reality:

-When he finishes 10-8 for 5th place in the SEC

No clue why we seem to be continuing to recruit 2018 guards. We've got three five-stars coming in already, plus returning Green/Baker(allegedly). I don't get it.
