I don’t know WTF is going on here but Cal should have called a TO.

Let’s get some things cleaned up and get ready for A&M!

The players seemed to be looking over at Cal practically begging for a time out... I may have imagined that, though.

I'm worried that the cake won't be completely baked when he has to land this plane.

I'll never understand it as long as I'm alive, but even the best coaches, in the best situations, with all the time in the world to draw up the perfect play, basically just put the ball in their best players hands, let him run the clock down to about 3 seconds, then jack up a 26-footer, off balanced, with a hand in his face.

This isn't the NBA.

Let the players run. I *hate* when coaches call timeout there. They typically get in the way of their own success.

I think it's weird that anyone thinks this group is going to form the core of a contender next year. This team minus Knox, minus whoever else, even no one else, plus a year of growth, plus Keldon Johnson, plus Immanuel Quickley, plus Tyler Herro does not equal a contender.
This season has sucked but it’s ridiculous to start shitting on next year especially when we are bringing in a bunch of shooters, our biggest issue this year. A sophomore PJ, Vanderbilt, Richards and Quade would be a hell of a core to return and something many fans have been begging for.

We are trending as a first round away game in the NIT. It appears the wheels have completely fallen off offensively and Cal has zero clue how to fix it.

Red *** items:

*Knox being lazy on defense. It’s embarrassing and pathetic and I’d rather him not play than stand there with his dick in his hand while his man scores easily.

*Richards is barely playable, but we have little choice because SKJ is mediocre at his very best.

*Washington drives me nuts. Was borderline dominant for several games in a row and now he’s almost completely vanished. Don’t think he broke a sweat tonight.

*At this point Diallo might’ve been better as a sophomore in high school. He’s lost every bit of confidence and can barely walk and chew gum out there. Just a total disaster.

*Cal runs no semblance of an offense whatsoever and has not shown any ability to adjust at all this year. It appears he’s basically just standing on the sidelines screaming gibberish. Might as well be a random homeless guy yelling at pedestrians on the street.

*Ive never seen someone try as hard as Gabriel and give less.

This team is Billy Gillispie’esque. TS.

-refs didn't cost us the game. 100% on Cal. 2 to's in your pocket. Freshman pg(i love the kid) just turned the ball over on the previous possession...made the exact same mistake. Take a timeout and coach your team.
You think he is going to call a timeout and miraculously run a good offensive basketball play for a open shot? If he could do that we would not be struggling to score 20 points before halftime.

Of course he should've called timeout. Even he knows it. The team was on its heels, SGA was shook, and nobody knew what the hell they were supposed to be doing. Plus, this team's collective basketball IQ is negative eighteen. You're gonna trust them to come up with a game winning play on their own? K.

Call em over, coach em up, and earn your $8M.

My favorite sequence that usually gives the other team the momentum is:

Knox misses a good shot.
Gets down on himself doesn't play proper D.
Other team scores on him.
Knox shoots a contested shot brick.
Other team rebounds and outlets for an easy 2.

Tony Barbee definitely made a difference tonight. So glad that an assistant basketball coaching job for the UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY is now the equivalent of a Make a Wish kid.

Rosters attrition and the recruitment lottery has our team depleted. Instead of landing top 5 caliber recruits, we scavenged a recruiting class with redundant parts.

-Briscoe would be an asset to the team. He’d easily be the best playmaker and would have been an superior option at the 1-3 over any player except maybe Shai. I don't give a eff if he can't shoot. He is a far superior dribbler compared to anybody else on the current roster.

-We have like 4 PF’s in the rotation. Wenyen, Knox, Vanderbilt, and Washington are all college 4’s right now. Knox sucks up all the minutes at the three chucking jump shots since Cal seems to be stuck on that "Knox is a SG" nonsense. Playing 2 power forwards and a center often limits our overall skill.

-Hami has a bad case of the suck.

-We have plucky young guys who would give us excitement about their potential development while playing a reserve role. They just aren’t good enough to be primary contributors on a top team.

Nothing new or surprising in that game. Really was just a continuation of the recent trend.

Knox is immune to Cal's quick hook. Derek Willis would have earned himself a spot on the bench for the rest of the half for that stuff despite being a superior player as a Junior and Senior.
