Did we really need another PF? I mean I get the narrative, and losing one we showed interest to Duke sucks, but unless we lose a couple we're not expecting we're pretty stocked inside.

SGA accounted for 28 of our last 40 points, per Leach. That's pretty amazing.

-Always liked Farnham, but he's slowly slipping into the HAMMER MY HOT TAKE ALL GAME abyss. I agree with him that we tend to fall in love with 1on1/Iso stuff, but he was griping about those 3 consecutive Knox posts/curls early in the 2nd that were CLEARLY designed, and resulted in 2 great shots (that he missed) and the And1 play. All downhill from here with that guy, I assume.

-Nice win for A&M last night, was pretty much do or die with them.

-That game truly WAS a gift, but that's okay. As mentioned, we watch teams choke away surefire wins vs Kansas, and to a lesser extent Duke/UNC, all the time.

-Felt happy for Quade. Even though he's made some nice shots the last two games, it still felt like he was on the outside looking in a bit in terms of fully getting back into the flow. Loved how as soon as the horn sounded SGA was frantically looking for him so he could tackle him before PJ shoved him across the court. The guys clearly love each other, even if their freshman selves don't always show it in the way they execute on the floor -- that goes a along way with me.

He was on empty those last few attempts. Amazing half.

Man Washington shoved Green hard in the back. Probably not the best thing to do to a guy who recently missed games with back issues. Looked like he was alright tho.

Virginia do your job.

Thanks

I mean I hate the way UVA plays but Pitino had nothing for them the last several years. It was a joy to watch UVA completely annoy them.

Ready for the Sheriff to ***** about UVA taking the ball out after a UL made basket again.

-Kevin Ollie, Richard Pitino, Kevin Stallings, Chris Mullin, and Ernie Kent....better win that conference tournament, boys, because otherwise, boom.....outta here.

-Assuming the frontcourt guys(sans Knox) come back, Montgomery isn't a need recruit. He's a nice prospect, but I can't see him being better than a sophomore PJ/Richards, or a junior Gabriel/SKJ. The primary reason to want him at this point is to keep him from sliding into the 5 spot at Duke(Bolden and that DeLaurier are tomato cans). That roster next year is missing a rim protector and inside scorer, and he could fit the bill. Makes sense for him to end up in Durham.

-Ordering Sweet 16 tickets for my dad's Christmas gift tomorrow(they don't go on sale until then). Had a blast with him last March watching his alma mater make the semifinals. We'd gone to that tournament for 6-7 straight years when I was a kid, and I'd like to make it a tradition again, if only for the semis/finals. You dads out there should consider taking your kids to at least part of the tournament. It won't ever reach its fever pitch of the late 80's/early 90's again, but it's still a blast.

Ollie really **** the bed not taking an NBA job after they won the title. Several teams had substantial interest, IIRC.

Think a down and out power 5 team needs to give my dude A.G. a shot... my god look at that starched, crisp white button-down.

He's under.500 right now but that isnt really relevant.

Dude, he was faking. This was well documented. Saw that Vando was faking and wanted a couple weeks off. Cal didn't even see him before like 8 games.

Anth feeling it now, ha.

"We have a pretty ugly group of guys this year" -verbatim random text from my wife upstairs during the game last night.

Auburn's OOC schedule was poop, but it still blows my mind that they are 20-2. I mean, they lost Purifoy and Wiley, and got beat by some guy named Barry in an exhibition game.

Lol, yeah Auburn is going to be BONKERS when we roll in there. It's at 9pm (we'll call it 9:13?) on a Wednesday too, so should be pretty perfect.

-I played some of that Stadium Baccarrat at Venetian last time I was out there, always been fascinated by that weird *** game & the fact Vegas makes as much off of it as BlackJack, despite it being basically invisible on the casino floor. Very small amount of players, but man those Asians GO HARD on that game.

Of course, most of the Baccarrat action takes place in the super secret high roller rooms, usually with a whale playing by himself betting 20K per hand.

Does Baccarrat really work?

Per James Bond movies, it seems like they’re just playing “War” with a wooden crepe spatula.

^ yeah, over in London, and in Atlantic City too I think.

Louis Theroux follows a Baccarat dude around in his Vegas Documentary. Dude just gets flown out and given the Royalty treatment for weekends while playing Baccarrat for ridiculous amounts of money.

Also follows a couple regular dudes getting SMOKED at Blackjack, which is actually pretty funny.

Entertaining little watch if you like Gambol.
