I dont know the answer to that, and certainly wont pretend to be an expert on CTE. All I can do is recite some of what came up during his trials- which mentioned gang affiliation back to his high school years, having other family with criminal history, acting out after losing a parent, etc.When did his brain become soup?
Smashing your head into things can cause brain damage at any age, you know.
I didnt disagree with you that CTE likely impacted him, could have even been the factor that pushed him over the edge - but he also made questionable choices much earlier in his life, and if CTE as its described now is evidenced by long term deterioration with symptoms showing up long after the actual trauma, those earlier decisions likely werent impacted by brain injury
