I think at one time even Richard Pitino's name got thrown in the mix. Again, if they were going to go the former player route, Kyle Watson was the guy. Not Ewing.
^ Yep, a guy with no head coaching* and/or recruiting experience ---> pretty solid hire.
*Interim tag doesn't really count
Lol. Yeah they swung for 3 guys with better gigs. Rather that looking at up and comers that will actually take the job. Most likely a terrible hire and they'll be forced to fire a legend in a couple years. Also interesting that They were turned down by Mike Brey, Chris Mack, Shaka Smart before settling on Ewing.
Pretty obvious it wasn't the route they wanted to go but were left with little options.

Patrick Ewing, Head Coach. Georgetown Hoyas.
That guy has paid his dues, having coached assistantly for 15 years. Throw away the seasons that his dad crushed it there in the 80s, and it's just another middling academic school program. This may end up being a pretty solid hire. It's interesting, at least.
Probably wouldn't be the lowest point in program history:Most likely a terrible hire and they'll be forced to fire a legend in a couple years.
I think they tied Louisville (AAA) in their preseason minor league tuneup but held on to beat Dayton (AA) if you're looking for measuring sticks.Roger Dorn starting at 3rd for the Reds this year or nah?
Ewing would do well to get a guy like Antigua on his staff.
I offered Anth a bet that Fox will also slide out of the Top 8 (which he seems to be pretty consensus at this point) and I actually wouldn't be shocked if he fell just out of the lottery, and would probably take that bet as well with some odds.
Can't even spell his own last name lol
Joel Justus.
He's Eddie Suttons kid, iirc.
