Can we talk about those stupid *** see through refrigerators and who the first GYEROer to buy one will be?
I really like ours. The see through door is pretty cool and if youre like me and sometimes open the door and stare for something to eat- now you can do it more efficiently without letting the cold air out. The separate compartments for everything keeps us really organized, which in a house of 2 grown adults can be difficult some times.

Is it worth the price tag? Maybe, maybe not. But what is, these days. I highly recommend.

There is talk of having it updated to be able to be voice controlled by some of the home AI-assistant devices too. Kind of a no-brainer if you are in the fridge market.

All those years opening my fridge door like a real *******...

Even if you did have to open the door like an ******* you don't even have to use your hands.

Auto Open Door™
Auto Open Door™ feature is a smart sensor detector at the foot of the refrigerator that opens the door automatically. Just step on the "Door Open" light projection on the floor in front of the refrigerator and the door gently opens.

Does anyone know how to make your home ice not suck & stick together when a cold drink is poured over it? Been dealing with this **** for 15 years, I'm convinced it's Louisville water.

^ I do that for my adult drinks, obvi.

Assume maybe it's too cold idk. Seems like ice makers just suck in general.

Killa had a bar-style ice chest in his home kitchen growing up, those are dope AF, imo.

Let us know when you come up with a physics life hack.

When you put the ice cubes in, the temperature of the cubes is (much) below freezing temperature. The drink in the glass is above freezing temperature. The interface between the ice and the liquid (the surface of the ice cube) is cooled by the ice cube, but heated by the liquid. The ice cube heats up in this process and the liquid cools down in this process (which is the main reason why you put the cubes in your drinks anyway).

Usually the liquid wins this competition and the ice cube starts shrinking. However, at places where two ice cubes are very close together, the liquid in between the cubes cools very fast (as it is cooled from two sides and cannot easily be replaced by new, warmer, liquid since it is contained between two walls of ice). At these places, the ice cube is able to win and starts expanding. The liquid close to the cubes therefore freezes, forming a bridge.

Note that bridges have the highest probability to form if the ice cubes come from a very cold freezer and if your drink is not too warm.

First of all, stop clogging up GYERO with so many stupid questions.

Secondly, the same **** happens at my house, and almost exclusively with Tervis style cups. Drives me bonkers when I take a drink and an iceberg smashes into my face splashing my drink everywhere. It doesn't seem to happen if I use a glass cup or a plastic cup at a restaurant. I'm assuming it has to do with the thermal conductivity differences between the cups, and also the difference in ice temperature varying from freezer to freezer.
