I always think it is going to be fairly chalky in the first round and crazy things always happen. I just don't see that many upsets happening this year though. Saturday and Sunday will be some great games.

I never hated Skal. I just thought he was terrible, and a *****...which he was. He may not be now, and even if one day he is a perennial All-Star, he was a garbage basketball player in the 1 year he was here.

Skal's continued improvement will lead to a lot of revisionist history. I'm not afraid to say it. I *hated* that f'er when he was here. Because he was terrible, and a huge letdown. He did nothing for the program in the 6 months he was here. I'm not abh level or anything, and I'm happy for him to play well, but if you want me to take back any of the nasty things I said or felt about him as he stumbled around the court, missed wide open jumpers, got the ball stripped from his weak *** hands, got his shot stuffed back in his face, constantly got beaten for rebounds....

While I'm at it.....I'm tremendously disappointed in Indiana. Pisses me off, in a weird way. You know, there's only like 5 states in the entire country that give a **** about basketball, and Kentucky, Indiana, and North Carolina lead the pack. BY FAR. It's fun to root against them, and to watch them embarass themselves, but when they've nearly given up hope of even trying to be a great program again, then we've essentially lost one of our biggest competitors. We need Indiana to at least TRY to win big again.

Decided to go the Friday route. Booked tomorrow at the Sheraton. Plan is to be there by 9:30 or so. Grab a bite (Wodie, holla if you hadn't left Patachoue) and start cracking 'em. Damn, I always have a feeling of euphoria just after I finalize plans. Cannot....freaking....wait.
By choosing Friday, I'm guessing that will mean I'll end up staying all weekend. Zero chance I don't hang out and have a few beers Saturday watching basketball. Hell, the off day is the best day, imo. Besides, the responsible thing to do is to stay the night and not attempt to driver home.
