We're just a great closing team, nothing else you can say really. When it gets tight, these guys just go for the throat.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if we switched our starting lineup to Fox, Hawkins, Monk, Willis, & Bam. Of course, I don't think it matters, but it would at least be a nice sendoff for two local kids. Let them go down with the ship.
Terrible form on all of Willis' shots tonight. Pulling back, no follow through. Zero chance of going in.

WTF is Willis shooting from 3 this year? He hasn't shot worth a **** this year and I don't care what the stats say.
I would like to bash Bam as much as the next guy. But the truth is: I cut him a lot of slack since he doesn't have any tattoos.
Close to 40%.
He doesn't take many shots so there are games you don't remember him hitting a shot.

Well that was a real nice Tuesday evening treat. I'll sleep easily with visions of a March run dancing in my head.
His occasional 5-5 games make up for the routine 0-1 efforts.
The adjustment that really needs to be made, won't get made. That's bringing Briscoe off the bench and playing Fox/Briscoe together less than 10 minutes per game. That will never happen, because it may send the wrong message to scouts and tank whatever is left of Briscoe's alleged draft stock. Having two non-shooting guards who need the ball in their dribble happy hands kills us in the half court. Kills. Hawkins isn't a great shooter either, but he's not out there pounding the air out of the ball. He generally moves it along.
He's actually a microcosm of this team, he's 0fer or 1-3 every 3 games then he'll toss in a 4-5 to make is overall stats look good. Dare I say, streaky?
But we have a bunch of guys that are streaky, not just with shooting but effort, rebounding, etc.
It's no wonder Cal's usually just yanking guys randomly...there isn't one guy you know is bringing it night to night or even minute to minute.

These guys look bored within the game, I hope it's just the SEC in Feb and once March hits they catch their second wind. They played huge early in the season on big stages, hopefully playing on the biggest stage flips the switch back on.

A Briscoe/Joe Crawford backcourt would be a dribble no where sight to behold.
Briscoe and Fox being consistently bad is the microcosm of our season. They are the players handling the ball, taking 10+ shots per game, and turning it over 3+ times. Missing shots and turning it over takes opportunities away from other players.
They've also been our two best closers and made big plays in numerous games where no one else wanted any part of the ball.
...that said, they've been **** on a stick for long stretches in games that should have never been close, causing them to have to be closers.
So I stand by my point.
Turned off the tv and fell asleep with about 7 minutes left. I stand by my decision.
